We've been stopping at Glenn's for well over 15 years now each time we're in Red Deer. We have NEVER bee disappointed with the service or the food, however we DO tend to spend a bit too much $$ on tea! (Which isn't really a bad thing!) The staff is all knowledgeable in the varieties, but also not afraid to say "I'm not sure, let me check for you!"
Although we live in BC now and don't get to go as often, it's still worth the day trip from Edmonton just for a meal and tea! They do ship, but the atmosphere is worth the drive!
We came Sunday evening and Alex was our server. He did an amazing job!! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful helping ourself and other tables ordering. All three means we ordered were fantastic.
The only unfortunate thing about our dinner experience is that we are from out of town so can not become Alex's regulars.
Quick bite before heading home. We were on the road for 5 hours and were ready for a nice stop. Had a hand made burger and a great cup of coffee. Will go back again. Cant wait to bask in the courtyard again this summer.

On the way there now. We've taken the Red Arrow for the last while instead of driving ourselves from Edmonton to Calgary, and have we ever missed our break with you! Looking forward to another wonderful meal, Pam and Karen Hofmann
No notice as the wife and I pulled into town to meet up with family for our reunion in Calgary. By the time everyone showed up we had 11 people for breakfast. Super fast and friendly servers. Food was great and very affordable. Thanks for accommodating the noisy crew that hadn't seen each other....some in decades.
My sister introduced me to this little gem at Easter 2017. I stop when I can as I love the setting, service and food. Also s nice little gift shop and donut shop next door. �
Just wanted to say that we went there on Sunday and had Chanthy as our waitress and she was incredible! Will be back for sure
I nearly always stop at Glenn's, (unless I'm participating in an imaginary road race).
I love the food and the large pot of tea with the to-go cup provided. Staff treats me like an old friend.
The menu has enough variety to please most people and that COOKIE they serve with tea - mmmmm!!!
I love this place! Before i moved to red deer, we always would stop by for a meal when in the city. When i moved to the city... i thought i better work here because i stand for the warm, inviting homy atmosphere. I love the food! And i greatly admire how many staff have been here for years and years. That to me is just a testimony to how this place runs!! Soooo....i joined their team and have no regrets! It is great to work in a place you feel confident in its quality, cleanliness and atmosphere. Stop by and experience it for yourselves �

Glenns's is hands down the best diner in Alberta. If you don't eat there you are flat out an idiot. Donut mills and Pete's drive in fans are just idiots who have not actually eaten at this perfect diner with its even more amazing food and service.
THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT RED DEER IS GLENN'S and don't you forget it.

Absolutely wonderful! Went here for breakfast on Sunday around 9. It was nice and quiet when we got their. Waitress Chanthy was fantastic. Always there when we needed her and very polite and friendly. They have a huge selection of teas you can purchase to take home as well. Food was quick and delicious and we were even offered Togo cups for our tea! Will definitely be going back. 10/10 would recommend.
This place is consistently good. We almost always stop in for breakfast on our road trips. Friendly and quick service. Decent food and portions!
Have to say my visit was not up to par. Service was very slow (it wasn't busy) and my food was awful. I ordered a steak sandwich special - the steak was very tough and dry (I asked for medium). I ordered a side of mushrooms and they had absolutely no flavor - just like the steak. Fries were good. Not sure if I will ever dtop here again. It has been one of my fav's over the years but its definitely not anymore.
unimpressed' will not stop there again only 10 items in the buffet, 2 fruit that was never filled and only one coffee, NO refills. it sucked
