My fiancé and I LOVE the anchors on global news. I’ve watched global in Vancouver and Kelowna, but nothing is like the Calgary anchors. The crew is so involved in the community and so personable. Every one of them is a delight.

I have to agree that the new format isn’t great, I’m sure there were very valid reasons to change it but it’s definitely less captivating now.

New morning show format is borderline unwatchable.

Just garbage all over the screen, I'd watch CNN if I wanted that. It totally distracts from anything the anchors are talking about.



Especially on the weekends I don't think we need by the minute traffic cameras and stock updates when the markets are closed. Does anybody actually turn on the news for stocks anymore when they can look on their phone in 5 seconds.

I love global news and all of your news anchors, which is why I gave 3 stars and not 1, but this new format is terrible. It’s hard to concentrate on the news when there is so much going on around it. Please change back to your old format or I’m afraid we’re going to have to switch to a new news channel.

New format for morning show is too cluttered and has pop up ads? Isn't that what commercial breaks are for? Are you in the news business or selling ad space business? You have become an imitation of a bad news website. I've already switched to another station for weekdays, too bad you're the only option during the weekend.

we have this same crappy screen in the Okanagan and I hate it!! it would probably cause a seizure if I continued to watch it soooo....Even tho we have a 50 " tv it's still too too much and they have to scale it way back and save the commercials for "commercial time!!"So Im not watching anymore!!

We've been loyal Global morning show viewers back to the days of Gord and Barb. This new format has made it too hard to watch now. Switching to CTV or just catching news online instead. So sad to see the "canned" response from Global here on Facebook to all the other complaints. Obviously, Global doesn't listen to the people who put them at the top any more. :(

The new format is impossible to watch! The screen is far too busy making it unable to enjoy your one big asset and strength, your tv anchor personalities. They were the reason I was loyal to your morning show. Now they are in the corner of an extremely busy screen with advertisements that make it distracting and impossible to watch. I hope they move to CTV so I can enjoy them again...�

My husband & I live in Lethbridge & we have watched Global since the beginning. Seen a lot of changes but the new format just lost Global 2 more viewers.

Many good anchors & morning staff have come & gone, yet for some reason, Leslie is still there & today's "Cold Case" segment on Hula Girl was the end for us.

We will check in every now & then to see if you listen to your viewers or lose them.

Good luck in the future from viewers if 20 + years.

I've tried and tried to give this new format a chance and I just can't anymore. There's too much going on and I feel overwhelmed when I'm watching the morning news. Probably going to watch CTV now....but I will check back every once in a while to see if its changed back. Until, ofcourse I start to like the CTV morning news and forget about global :(

I've been writing both the newsroom and the author about correcting a defamatory article for a month now and have received no response. Global is obviously more concerned with clicks and views than they are with any sort of journalistic standards. Gutter-tier journalism with absolutlely no regard for the truth. I recommend CBC, global is a joke.

I wrote an email to Global re their new format and received a reply that blew me off with the comment that they are responding to requests from viewers to have more information on the screen. I can’t read half of it, don’t care about most of it and cannot see the current news in the small screen which is why I turned it on!

I was not happy last week when I noticed the new format. I totally agree with all the comments. I tried to watch Global again this morning, the best part is the commercials!!!



The screen is way to distracting, there are now 7 items being shown on the screen at all times. If I wanted to see the provincial weather I can watch the weather channel. Same issue with the traffic report, sport scores, you get the idea, that is why there are special channels for these different issues.



Please change back as we want to see our favourite morning people, or we will have to find another channel.....

I used to love Global morning news, but I can’t watch the new format. Way to much going on - like watching 8 screens at the same time. It used to be an easy relaxing start to the day with the humorous morning show team. Now it’s so busy it makes me feel tense and rushed - so much going on it could bring on a seizure. I have been watching global morning news morning for many years, but when the new screen format was brought in I was not pleased. I did not buy a 55 inch TV to watch the top left corner. Also you need your second anchor back. I suspect your view count is down, I doubt your advertisers are pleased. Not a step in the right direction

I have been a Global watcher for the better part of 20 years, but when you move to this format for the morning show it’s just not watchable. Just give us the news, traffic and weather, that’s all we want! Being bombarded with the new format is simply a rip off of CP24 in Toronto and no one likes it! Time to switch to CTV morning show now! Sorry Global, you just lost another loyal viewer, maybe if enough of us leave your executive team will take the hint!

I also hate the new format. Can't even see it on my screen it's just a blur. Go back to how it was. Love the team have been watching for years as I get up at 0530 and have my morning coffee with the morning anchors. Now it just gives me a headache.

Hello Global, I have watched Global new for many years from the 2 & 7 days.and I have to say I am strongly thinking about moving on and getting my morning new elsewhere due to your format I hate it. It is very distracting. I believe there is a great team for the morning news but they are not enough to keep me Sorry Global
