And, you know, the American cheese just gives it a little down-and-dirty je ne sais quo. 11/10 will eat again.

A village of staff, family, friends, neighbours, suppliers and generally great humans. It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t without it’s challenges (haha! SO MANY CHALLENGES!) But we’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished and exci...ted about the weeks, months and years to come. Ramen. 48 Hour Land & Sky Broth (poultry and pork bones, binchotan charred onions, shiitake, kombu and bonito flakes.) 62 degree egg, confit pork belly, shiso butter, bean sprouts, corn, green onion and nori. #OpeningSoon

Walked in on a friday evening and easily got a table for 6 people. Ricky was our server and was extremely knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. Ended up getting the ramen and some yakitori along with some milk bread. The ramen was tasty and filling but the noodles lacked the bite that a good bowl of ramen has. The broth seems to be a shoyu based broth which is lighter than traditional pork based broth. More ramen options in the future would be a welcome addition.



The yakitori was tasty, especially the grilled chicken thighs and the dipping sauce that it comes with. Ask for the in-house made hot sauce, you won't regret it. The milk bread was also great with the togarashi bone marrow butter. I'd recommend putting some of that butter in the ramen broth and dipping the bread in the last bit of broth.



Not to mention they are extremely welcoming to celiacs. My wife had the karaage burger made gluten free and she was more than pleased. Overall we had a pleasant experience and the service was A+, I will definitely be coming back.

Unreal food! So much to choose from. A must go!

Love it so far, but just at a party to introduce Mr. Gorilla Whale to the public. Will go back for dinner and write another review. A fun place with an interesting name, tasty food, and a great owner who knows his way around good restaurants. Thanks, Brendan, Doug and Chloé and I will be back for much more serious eating and drinking!

Get the Foie. You won’t be disappointed. Menu is creative and delicious! ��
