Wow, where do I start? The food was amazing, portions huge, and service friendly and efficient. We had the spring rolls to start; they were by far the best I've had in Edmonton (they are made in-house and you can definitely tell). We ordered the chicken and beef vermicelli bowls, which were absolutely delicious! The meat was top quality, all the vegetables were fresh, and the taste was incredible! I also was shocked to find it was only a lunch-sized portion as it could easily have been shared between 2 people. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality, locally sourced ingredients. I love the concept and with food this good, it's bound to be a huge success! Welcome to the neighborhood Grain of Rice!

Went for lunch today and it was wonderful. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the ingredients were really fresh. The lemonade was AMAZING. We will be back for sure to try the salad rolls and pho!

We ate there this evening - it was delicious. We started with the spring rolls - so good! And ordered the pork vermicelli bowl and the beef and rice noodles. The beef was melt in your mouth and so flavourful. Service was great, we will be back for sure - so happy to have a place like this in the neighbourhood. Check it out!!

Sooooo good ; OK so I always get the yin yang rolls ,the green onion cakes and on occasion to get the vermicelli rice bowl with chicken. But today I tried something new and I have to tell you it’s my new favourite!!! everyone has to try THICC n��dles!

My first and certainly not my last time i will take a visit to Grain of Rice. The restaurant itself is well lit and immaculate with friendly staff behind the counter all in full view - ready and willing to answer all the questions i had about the different dishes.



And as i was still talking to the staff member the food came out in prompt and timely fashion. As this was to go, my concern would have been how well the food tasted when i got home - i was not disappointed! The food was still fresh and for the price i would recommend this place to all whom like fresh food with a quirky twist!

My family and I live just down the block and love it here! My boyfriend and son are both picky eaters and haven't complained yet! Their favourite is the Pho. I'm always torn between the Firecracker and the Vermicelli bowl - I especially love that they come with the spring rolls! We've eaten in and taken out and every time our meals have been good.



Service is always friendly and the infused water is always a nice touch!

Love the foods...theyre luscious! We've ordered grilled pork chops, peaches and shrimps and Phò. All of those are so amazingly delicious. The staff were so accomodating and they served us so well...not to mention all of them are so courteous! I recommend this new restaurant to all food lovers out there...in addition to that, the place is so clean but much better if they expand to accomodate more customers...just saying! 2 thumbs up!

Just came back from my first experience from Grain Of Rice. I can’t wipe the grin from my face!! The food was amazing! Even my daughter who hates Chinese food loved it. Keanna was our server and she really took care of us. I am so making this one of my new regular haunts!!

It's a little out of the way but enjoy the free parking and personal service we intend to eat our way through the delicious menu and will return soon as the menu items will be changing....we tried three dishes and my personal favorite is the peaches and shrimp.....it's all that is promised ...like the use of locally grown food

It was our very first visit to Grain of Rice; Excellence! ... all-around, from service to menu/food/ingredient knowledge and sourcing.

We left very well-fed, content and excited (we're coming back for sure, for dinner service). Our lunch selections were absolutely amazing. Our waitress was fantastic. I highly recommend Grain of Rice, but secretly want to keep this hidden gem all to myself!

I have visited Grain of Rice with friends on several occasions now and we have always felt the service to be friendly and attentive. Good variety in the selection with good portions and great, fresh flavours - favourites are the grill pork chops and the peaches and shrimp!



Would also say that after trying several Viet coffees in town, they're one of the few places that balances the sweet and bitterness just right.



Mad respect GoR's mission to source locally and sustainably but especially growing up with immigrant families we really appreciate their commitment to ensuring staff are paid a livable wage. Happy to support local!

Had our first meal there tonight, it was awesome. Loved the curry chicken it had an awesome kick, spring rolls were fantastic and my husband raved about the vermicelli bowl.



Only a high chair could have made it better, cause our littlest one wanted to try it all and it was a bit awkward trying to hold her and feed her and also feed ourselves. But still excellent, great to see a new family restaurant in the neighborhood, and especially as busy as it was tonight.

Absolutely delicious!! Everything is so obviously fresh and so good. I’ve tried about 8 different menu items and now when I go there I can’t decide what to eat because it seriously awesome. Highly recommend this place. Unless you are not a fan of good food.

They charged us twice and did not refund the money. The blonde cashier had her boyfriend involved ( not even part of the company) and causing issues even though it was the cashiers fault. No staff training! She charge us twice. Multiple calls, emails and we are still dealing with a 200$ bill over lunch. Never again! Stay away from this unprofessional business man running that joint. Just another example of someone thinking they can just hang a sign and be a good place to eat. If you can't do the little things, How can you do the big things? 0 out of 5 stars.

On Sunday evening, I sat down in this restaurant with my mother as she was visiting from out of town. We were greeted by Michelle P (A young woman with black hair and glasses) who was absolutely friendly from the get-go. She was very hospitable, kind, and attentive!



However, every now and then another server came to our table (another young woman with blonde hair), and she would be so cold, and very uninviting. Her attitude was one that made us NOT feel welcomed, and her tone was very combative. She really destroyed the experience that would have been absolutely phenomenal!



The food was great, Michelle was great, the blonde woman was no where near great. She wasn't even close to being average! People like the blonde (sorry as there is no better description) should NOT be in any service industry with the attitude she has!
