We visited for the first time today and loved it! My step son (6) had a blast doing all the activities and we loved the little petting zoo! The market was great and the food was delicious. We also really enjoyed our juice from the little sugar cane vendor on the trail itself! We’ll be back for sure.

We live in Swift Current so on our way to see family we always stop here. It is so perfect for my two boys to just run around and blow off steam

This place is FANTASTIC! Besides the fact that the location is GORGEOUS (rolling hills and a spectacular mountain view on the way) there is SO much to do, tons of learning opportunities, the place is HUGE, the staff is fantastic, there is tons of climbing structures and lots of great places to sit down and catch a break while the kids climb and play. We spent an entire day here and still didn't see everything, we loved it. Granary road will replace our calaway park annual pass this year! Loved it!

User

Our three years old loved it! So much things to do there! We were learning through play! Beautiful market and delicious food! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to enjoy it

User

I am from Manitoba! Never seen anything like it! Very creative. Fun for kids! Definitely worth it! If you find it too expensive, go an hour before they close and it’s 50 percent off! Overall, I enjoyed it. Worth every penny. Cute petting zoo too!

User

Great place to take the kids. I have two boys ages 1 and 4. Both have a blast. We bought the seasons pass and now we spend each visit in different sections of the park. Lots for them to touch and climb. Very stimulating place. The Loft is super comfortable for eating and the food is delicious. They also have great coffee! Love this place!

User

A great place to go! Absolutely beautiful area, lovely vendors, and delicious food. Perfect place to take the whole family :)

Nice to see so many people enjoying the outdoors! There are so many neat themed exhibits with different play areas, plus a working farm and petting zoo! Definitely a cool place to visit.

User

Went with my whole family and some friends today, it was our first time at the market. We ate at the loft and enjoyed our food in the upstairs lounge. The food and service was great! Afterwards we went to check out the vendors at the market and found many interesting products and food choices! I plan to go again!

User

We loved Granary Road!!!

Was great for our kids and amazing park equipment and learning info!

Needs more GARBAGE CANS! Also no change table in the main bathrooms in the Market...

Also I’m sure a lot of people would like a toddler area at the Treehouse. Under 2 is quite left out.

But we had a great day and it’s set up really nicely! Great job on the different areas and play structures! Great learning area.

Also please add some shelter! Shade over the picnic areas and cover if it rains. You are very exposed, which is hard with young kids for a full day.

User

Great way to spend the day, 5 kids aged 7 to 4 all loved it! Market and food choices were great, I can’t wait to go back with friends just for the market part.

Prices to enter were comparable to other activities we have done on day trips since we don’t live in the city.

Only suggestion is to have a water fountain/water bottle filling station somewhere along the way.....it was hot so we finished our water half way through the activities and no where to fill! Well laid out and even though it was very busy we never felt crowded! A fun place to visit!

User

Great place, my younger kids love playing at all the fun themed parks, and petting the goats. My only suggestion is to have somewhere to cool down a little, whether it be a couple misters set up, or little splash pad.

User

We enjoyed the park and my kids seemed to enjoy it too (ages 3 & 7). We found admission into the park a little pricey. One complaint I have is that there are no water fountains or water stations to fill up water bottles. We brought large bottles for each of us but it was very hot the day we went and not a lot of shaded areas. We were disappointed to find that there was no where to fill up our bottles (bathrooms only have warm water out of taps and signs say it is non-potable). We ended up having to buy ridiculously expensive bottled water from the market. Not very environmentally friendly at all. That part was disappointing.

User

The park itself was fun. My 6yo loved the treehouses and trampolines. Between the admission to the park and the price of lunch (we ate at The Loft) it came to almost $60 for the 2 of us. Didn't even bother with the market vendors after that! If we come back again we will be bringing food.

Also, no composting for organics? And all of our food came in takeaway containers when we ate on site. Such a waste.

User

In general a great day outside with lots of food options. I disagree with charging adults $17 each to walk around the park pathways. It is a bit ridiculous. I am ok to pay for the kids to use the areas. Likely won’t be coming back here until that changes as it is not worth our money.

User

Kids enjoyed, Especially the ant farm. But prices are pretty high for enterance to the park especially for the adults. Also food/vendor pricing is CRAZY, two beef on a bun ( which was disgusting) and a drink was almost $40. defiantly pack your own lunch and bottles of water.

I probably wouldn't drive out of my way to go back anytime soon.

User

$120 for my family to just walk around the park! No way. This place is WAY to expensive. This was my Mother's Day request but it was not something we would do again as a family. We had 2 children (one under 2) and 6 adults.

That said, it's wonderful! Well laid out so you are not all bunched together, lots of activities for the kids. The nature inspired themes are fun.

The market was lovely, the food in The Loft was excellent. Service was a little slow as they only had 2 staff.

This is not somewhere I would go regularly as the cost to the Active Learning Park is WAY to expensive.

A suggestion would be to allow an adult accompanying a child to enter free. Then charge for extra adults after that.

User

Today we decided to head to their Stampede Breakfast. Along with 2 other families.

Breakfast- 1 hour- fail to begin- pancakes were legit the smallest ever, coffee and juice was, what it seemed, one pitcher each and oh that’s it. Limited sausages.

And it wasn’t overly busy.

As per the “events” for today, there was to be Hay Rides at 11-12pm.

This didn’t happen, there were no crafts as mentioned in the page.

This isn’t the first time their Events are

Misleading. Completely disappointing as it wasn’t just us but many people came down for this “free event”.

Granary Road- when you have an “event” please stick to what you advertise. This is creating a horrible name for yourselves.

And your staff are much to young to deal with these situations.

User

So we went Granary Road today... meh. It was very expensive to get in, and despite just opening last year, it's pretty run down already with broken displays, etc. Batcave did nothing. Honey bees were dead in the honeycomb box. The frog area was cool, but there should be an age restriction on the area, as giant kids were knocking little guys off the trampolines. I think its only a matter of time before a kid gets seriously injured there. What are all the little amphitheatres for? Nothing going on in them... I think I just paid to take my kid to an over-hyped playground... and he was too small to go on half the stuff. Animatronics didnt seem to be working, grass was unkempt in picnic areas, no piglets (as stated on website), and food choices in the Market are not very kid-friendly. The whole concept seems kind of confused. A cash grab, for sure!

User

Bought quite a few day passes last year and didn't use them, thought day pass lasted quite a while. I found out today the day pass did say for 2017 season (albeit no expiry date), so called contact and explained the situation - they insisted on their policy that there was absolutely nothing they could do about it, expiry means expiry, no cash value at all! How many of us will appreciate this policy. In addition, if that's the case better put an expiry date in a large font, instead of just having a lengthy statement with the year information embedded. Better over communicate than under.
