Grande Cache Tourism & Interpretive Centre Description

Located on Highway 40 and surrounded by stunning vistas of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the Grande Cache Tourism & Interpretive Centre has much to offer the curious traveler and long-time resident. We are more than just a tourist info centre.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to answer questions and help you make the most of your time in our beautiful mountain town. We offer hiking guides, maps and loads of information about the area.

Along with tourism information, the Centre also showcases the fascinating history of the area through free exhibits and displays: featuring ice age artifacts, Aboriginal heritage and fur trading, full animal mounts, tree and geological descriptions and local industry.

There is also a gift shop, art gallery, an intimate movie theatre and space available for meetings and conferences.

Make sure to save time to tour the Bird's Eye View Interpretive Park featuring an interpretative trail and gazebo style picnic areas, outside of the Centre. A replica of a “cache” along with other historic buildings are also on site.
