Grande Coulee Ranch Description
Wilson Grande Coulee Ranch is located approximately 14 km. northeast of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. We are a family farm with 4 generations working and contributing to the farm everyday. Our pasture land is located in the heart of the Canadian Badlands using both native and tame grass for cattle grazing.
Our philosophy is to provide a low stress environment for our cattle, where health and well-being are the priority. Our animals graze grass from late April to late October. In the winter the herd is fed a combination of hay, grain /Alfalfa pellets, Barley and Barley straw.
Antibiotics, Steroids and animal by-products are NOT included in our feeding program. We also provide shelters and extra winter bedding.
In December 2005 our ranch became the 19th livestock operation in Alberta to be certified with the "On-Farm Food Safety" program. We are proud to be part of this program where good farming practices and record keeping are acknowledged.
