We know that cultivation of cannabis can be an extremely wasteful venture - an immense amount of energy is required for anything from heating and cooling to light usage. It can be seen through analyzing Colorado and Washington State's cultivation efforts that 1kg of cannabis cultivation requires the same carbon footprint as driving from New York to Los Angeles 11 times. Green Sparrow looks to change that model, utilizing greenhouse cultivation methods (passive solar design) and the abundance of renewable resources in southern Alberta. With our geographic location, Calgary in particular, has the same solar potential as Florida. We can take harness that advantage, as well as our ample winds, to produce net-zero cultivation efforts delivering sun-grown, hand nurtured medicine.
