Golden Spice Pears Yes – some varieties of pears can be grown in Calgary. This variety, as the name would suggest, has a spicy taste although you may prefer the fruit canned as opposed to eating raw. These pairs are about an inch and three quarters in length and ripens in mid-to-late September.

Garlic grows very well in Calgary's climate. The requirements of garlic are fairly simple. Generally you will need a well drained area in full sun. Garlic adapts to the environment which it is grown in, so its performance will improve over the years as it adjusts to your garden.

I recently bought a Stihl combi-tool. I now have several attachments and they all work really well. I was skeptical of the rototiller but was pleasantly surprised.
