What a great experience we had today with our seniors at Greenland Garden Centre. The place was amazing, beautiful and so organized with wonderful staff working hard everywhere ready to serve you and take care of you from helping you find your favourite colour candle or ornament to helping you to be seated in their amazing restaurant, which I may add was such a great lunch experience during their peek lunch rush. The manager was so present and willing to help out in any way he could from telling you what kind of cheese was with your brochetta to helping kitchen staff with a bit of dishes to be washed and serving plates to customers as needed with flair and the gentle delivery of his great personality. Additionally the other staff were super friendly and hard-working too, it was top notch! Not to mention the party in your mouth and the appetizing food selections-the food was absolutely delicious!!! I love the way it's all organized too. You wait to be seated and then pick from a handsome menu what you desire to eat and drink. When you're ready to order you go to the food bar to order rather than waiting for someone to come to your table when they have the time. They then deliver your food to to your table when it's ready with such ease. The presentation and delivery is classy, the whole process is so efficient and you are still receiving personal and classy service. Then once you are ready to leave the restaurant you don't have to wait around for your bill either as you are all good to go. It's a great system with a fine dining feel. I loved he whole experience and the shopping was great too. The cashiers were bending over backwards to help customers. It was apparent that everyone loved their jobs. It was very special! I hope you visit for yourself. There is so much to love about this place.

We were passing through on a 2 week mission trip and stopped in Edmonton to see a friend who took is this amazing nursery. While there Robert, one of the managers, engaged us and went above and beyond. He shared a couple rare moments with us like the two momma birds that have taken up shelter in a couple of the trees to nurse their newborns. What a precious gift to witness. He also shared how he "stumbled" into the job 14 years ago and has never left. I don't believe in coincidences, only divine appointments. Robert is one of those. May God continue to bless him and the garden center. Robert, thanks for going above and beyond, even for some Florida and Ohio men who had no way of contributing to your business monetarily. You truly understand excellent customer service.

We have a great time everytime we go to Greenland! We make it an annual girls trip for Christmas time and the classes are awesome. We just went to Branches for our valentines dinner last night and huge rave to the chefs because it was a 5+ amazing dinner. Love Greenland and everything about it!

User

We had planned family photos outside but when my niece and nephew came down with nasty coughs we were left scrambling to find somewhere to take our pictures. Not only did Greenland let us come in to take our pictures in their BEAUTIFUL store, they did not charge us and every staff member was polite, friendly and so helpful! I will be a return and repeat customer, hands down.

Wanting to pass on something that I was privileged to see at Greenland Garden Centre. On the afternoon of Tuesday August 25th, my husband and I were on the patio at Branches. Tim, one of the owners, was busy doing his usual combination of working with his staff and offering customer service to the many shoppers and Branches guests. Tim greeted one of his employees clearing the tables and they exchanged their hellos/have a good day. Tim then went to walk away and turned back and said "I am not sure when you have heard this last, but I want you to know that we appreciate you"! What an amazing, but all too infrequent, compliment from an Employer to an Employee. Way to go Tim!! We appreciated seeing how you treat your employees.

User

This is literally my favorite Garden Center ever, and I've been to a few. Their selection is amazing, the staff are really friendly and always helpful and knowledgeable. Last year we took 5 courses at Greenland's and the classes were fantastic and taught us everything we needed to know about taking care of our trees, yard and garden. It doesn't hurt that Greenland's is just a wonderful place to be. It is gorgeous! They have a wide range of all types of plants and their prices are very reasonable. Plus they have sales and deals all the time.

User

It's one of my most happiest places to be!! Love the atmosphere and all the house plants!!! Can't wait for my daughter to get older so she can enjoy it with me too!

User

In regards to their tropical/cactus selection, I've always been very impressed. They have an incredible (easily the best selection in Alberta) of cacti most times of the year. From peyote tonrat tail cactus, from opuntia to euphorbia I always seem to find something to get excited about. The prices are hard to beat anywhere in the area, and the very few times I've tried to swing a deal on a plant due to a bug problem or damage they have been easy to strike a compromise on a price.

I have no comments on their annuals, perennials or nursery stock, but they are worth the visit for tropicals alone.

User

Had the pleasure of being assisted by Howard today!!!! He helped select 6 of the 9 trees we purchased! He was informative and knowledgeable!! He tossed ideas at us that opened our mind to completing our project!!!! Valuable employee who will have us seeking him on our next visit!!!

User

Greenland has everything you can think of for gardening! Their selection of plants are the best out of all the garden centers in and around Edmonton. They are my go-to for advice for indoor and outdoor plants. My most favorite thing about Greenland is how amazing all of their staff are - they are very knowledgeable, super friendly and very helpful! If you're looking for unique, great quality, well-priced items for your garden you need to check out Greenland. Make sure you set aside at least an hour because they have SO much that you will need time to admire (and decide what you want). :D

User

Absolutely love all the staff at Greenland and Branches. It has become a tradition for my daughter and I to take classes their together. Today we attended the grinch parent / child class and LOVED it! We love coming there even to walk around and check out all the new items year round!

User

Had lunch in the cafe and shopped for the afternoon. Food was great and reasonably priced. Nice place with a good selection. Prices are mid-range: not the most expensive plants in the area, but not the cheapest either. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

User

Aside from the fact that Greenland is pricier than other greenhouses, the experience is still wonderful and the quality of the plants, staff and restaurant are not comparable to anywhere else in Edmonton in my opinion. I went to the Christmas show/sale with two friends and we ended up spending 6 hours walking around, gawking at things, had a beautiful lunch and made a couple of purchases. I don't have much spare income so when I do spend, it better be high quality and Greenland delivers. I love their staff as well - there is NOTHING more irritating than asking staff a plant question they can't answer and don't care about. If Greenland staff don't know, they find someone else who might. I've never encountered a 'Walmart' type employee. My only little pet peeve was the complete lack of staff on the tills during the two other winter trips I've made. Last time there were only 5 of us in the queue on the Sunday after your Feb indoor plants day, there weren't loads of people in the store, yet it took 30 minutes to make a purchase because there was only one till open. If you fix that you'd get 5 stars.

User

Very nice place, but the food use to be better... thus time the juice was rotten and my daughter get sick. We end in the doctor with upset stomach. Hopefully they improve the food cuality.

Prices are reasonable and is the best green house in the area🌟

User

There are a lot of selections for plants but the prices are way too high. Greenland has turned more into a boutique rather than a garden store. Too bad as it once was the place to go to now it has become a place to save up to for plants.

User

Went shopping as we do each year at Christmas time. Took my sister there for her birthday to purchase something for her Birthday. Tried to by her a cup of hot chocolate and couldn't. Apparently they are too busy at Christmas time to fill beverage orders. Greenland.....you have gotten too big. Shame on you. I purchase my annuals there and won't be doing that again. You have lost your customer service. Even checked with the manager as we couldn't believe we were unable to purchase a cup of hot chocolate. She confirmed she couldn't help us either. With countless young people looking for jobs, there's no reason for this....with the exception that you don't care about your customer. I will not ever shop at Greenland Garden Center again.

User

We went to the restaurant to buy a drink and snack and after standing at the till for 10 mins and being completely ignored by about 10 staff that were behind the counter, I said to my son we are leaving since we are ignored, a girl who was behind the till looked at me, giggled and turned around to talk to another staff member... not impressed

User

Very disappointed with the Christmas trees- we bought a tree 2 weeks ago from here, and now it's dead. We spent 85$ and the tree didn't last even 2 weeks!!!!

Pineneedles everywhere, and branches break easily, and we spent 3 hours as a family decorating our tree in our new house....

It's not the same without a tree on Christmas, thanks a lot @greenland!

We would have been better off going to sobeys like usually, where he tree lasts 2 MONTHS!!!

I would never recommend buying from here.

User

They do not stand behind their product, insisting that the wreath stand we bought had snapped at the bottom due to it being left “unsupervised”. Regardless of the logistics of how - which we will never know - it ended up snapped at the bottom -which a steel wreath stand should not do - the manager gave us such a hard time returning it.... It wasn’t a dead flower which we did not water that we were trying to return, it was a product which we had purchased that had broken.

Should have just stuck to Salisburay - they understand that the wreath stands they sell are most likely being used at Glenwood.
