Greg has practiced law in Alberta for 30 years, covering many areas of law. Most of his career has been spent as internal (corporate) counsel for large public sector organizations.

The first of these was Agriculture Financial Services Corporation, an Alberta crown corporation providing financing to the Alberta farm industry and offering hail and crop insurance. This involved preparing all forms of secured lending documents, including chattel security agreements, land mortgages, debentures and bonds.

He served for a number of years as General Counsel for the Calgary Board of Education, a large public school system. While there he provided legal advice and direction to the Board of Trustees, senior management and staff on a variety of legal issues as well as supervising a number of major lawsuits.

Most recently, he practiced as Senior Legal Counsel at the University of Calgary where he prepared, negotiated and reviewed contracts of all kinds, including commercial leases, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, international agreements and other forms of corporate documents.

He now operates his own law office, focusing on small business legal needs. Legal advice and services provided have included consulting contracts (independent contractor), contracts for the sale of goods (supply agreements), leases (commercial property and equipment), franchise agreements, collection procedures (small claims court) and negotiated settlements of disputed contracts.

Greg has also presented or participated as a panelist in legal seminars over the years, recently including the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
