This is our go to restaurant in town. Great food, fun atmosphere, service is speedy and the staff are excellent! We have come with family for special occasions, office lunches, Friday meet up with friends and dates! Varied menu from a steak sandwich to a thai rice bowl meal...and don't forget to try their memorable dessert doughnuts!

This is my first time here and absolutely loved it. Prices are amazing , foods top shelf and great service!! I'll be making the drive from RD just to eat here !!! :)

SO AMAZING!!! I would take the time to come to olds just to eat here!! The ladies were all so nice and welcoming. The food was to die for!!! I had a virgin caeser with beef jerky (soo good), shared the mac and cheese bites, and a half order of fettuccine with mushrooms!!! Oh my gawd!!! The mac and cheese bites were perfect!! Nice a crunchy outside oooey gooey cheesy inside... mmmmm.... The fettuccine was the best!!!! The house made sauce was fantastic and the noodles were cooked perfectly!!!! My boyfriend had the chicken club and fries and he really enjoyed it as well!!! Will definately be coming back!!!!!

Food was excellent and service was excellent. The young fellow that greeted us when we came in was very nice and was smiling and had a great sense of humour. We joked around a bit with the server also and she was great. Would recommend Grouchy Daddy's to everyone.

Food and service was amazing! They brought out a coloring book for our young daughter which was my little pony so a hit for sure! And they offered a kid sized fettuccine Alfredo pasta which it's hard to please a young kid but she ate and loved it! And the steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster bechamel sauce was incredible!

After experiencing prime rib at a buffet in Las Vegas; lets just say the cow died in vain; the steak sandwich at Grouchy's was amazing. Nothing like Alberta beef prepared properly. The service was excellent. Staff was very friendly. On a side note, I didn't really care for the Olds College Saazquatch brew, but the Hay City was very good. Its a matter of taste. The restaurant and the brewery have a bright future.

Our company Christmas party was hosted here this year, we were set in the Rusty Key for a private setting. We were served prime rib, cut and served by Alex, which was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth good! The roasted potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The Mrs chocolate cake was the perfect ending. The staff were kind, attentive, and didn't make us feel rushed to leave when the meal was over. The setting was perfect, great ambiance and decor.

4 stars as I've had great service in the past. Food is delicious, good prices, great drinks. We will come back for sure, but tonight we had issues with our waitress. We were never given menus or cutlery/napkins. Weren't offered refills on drinks, or asked if our meal was okay. My baby was getting fussy and we were asked if we wanted our bill and were ready to go while my sister was still eating and had half her plate left. I completely understand it was busy, but a lot of the time our server was just standing at the back. I would still recommend anyone to go here and we will be back as it's not the restaurant as a whole that was poor, just our waitress in particular unfortunately.

The food was pretty decent, what turned me off was I found a cooked chicken wing in my small cup of potato soup, the first (and only) time I have been there.

Stopped in on the way home from the lake for lunch, was going to hit Boston Pizza but Google recommended this as a local option so we gave it a try.

Sat at the bar and it was ok, kind of small but comfortable.



Service was very prompt and efficient with multiple people asking if i had been helped ( almost a bit much but better than the opposite of being ignored).



Drinks were good, a Caesar with beef jerky and ice cold draft beer.



The disappointment was the food. Ordered the Mac and Cheese bites thinking this would be something made in house and cool. Nope, frozen McCains wedges served with about an ounce of some flavorless dip .



The rest of the menu looked good, but just wonder if anything is made in house or just prepared foods.

Food was ok. Couldnt enjoy or even talk to anyone at my table because there was a reservation right beside us for 30 people. They even blocked off access to get out of the restaurant. Wont be back.

Went there tonight to celebrate with my wife. Place was full so we were asked to be have a seat as they cleared a table. 15 minutes later and our waitress was nowhere to be seen. There was a table available the entire time, not occupied. At the end of that 15 minute wait, some more people came in, asked for a table and were seated immediately. The empty table still remained. Still no waitress in site, not sure if she went on a break or just left or what. We walked out. Not very happy.

We ate here last week and it was decent. Tried it again today and was very unimpressed! I ordered the fishnet burger , the ciabatta was un toasted, the fish was covered some white sauce that did not match the fish... honestly tried to cut a piece off with bun and made a huge mess! Needless to say I took the smallest taste and felt sick to my stomach. No big deal , I give it back as I have completely lost my appetite. As we are paying the bill I see they took 50% off of my non eaten meal! Lol we eat at high end restaurants and this is definitely not one we will ever go to again!!

I'm going to be completely honest here ! Me and my 20 guest were very excited to try out this restaurant ! Until I booked reservation for 20 two weeks in advance for my birthday and to show up and have them tell me they don't have room for us ! What the point of making a reservation if you don't get it when you show up ! They did not try to accommodate me or my guest all that was said was sorry have a good night ! I have been very upset about the situation as I had to then find another spot that would kindly accommodate 20 some people ! To me and the rest of my guest that night this place was a bad experience , and me nor the rest of the party want to go back ! Maybe if we were offered some thing for the inconvenience would be a different story !

The disappointment was the food. Ordered the Mac and Cheese bites thinking this would be something made in house and cool. Nope, frozen McCains wedges served with about an ounce of some flavorless dip .



The rest of the menu looked good, but just wonder if anything is made in house or just prepared foods.

Food was ok. Couldnt enjoy or even talk to anyone at my table because there was a reservation right beside us for 30 people. They even blocked off access to get out of the restaurant. Wont be back.

Went there tonight to celebrate with my wife. Place was full so we were asked to be have a seat as they cleared a table. 15 minutes later and our waitress was nowhere to be seen. There was a table available the entire time, not occupied. At the end of that 15 minute wait, some more people came in, asked for a table and were seated immediately. The empty table still remained. Still no waitress in site, not sure if she went on a break or just left or what. We walked out. Not very happy.

We ate here last week and it was decent. Tried it again today and was very unimpressed! I ordered the fishnet burger , the ciabatta was un toasted, the fish was covered some white sauce that did not match the fish... honestly tried to cut a piece off with bun and made a huge mess! Needless to say I took the smallest taste and felt sick to my stomach. No big deal , I give it back as I have completely lost my appetite. As we are paying the bill I see they took 50% off of my non eaten meal! Lol we eat at high end restaurants and this is definitely not one we will ever go to again!!

I'm going to be completely honest here ! Me and my 20 guest were very excited to try out this restaurant ! Until I booked reservation for 20 two weeks in advance for my birthday and to show up and have them tell me they don't have room for us ! What the point of making a reservation if you don't get it when you show up ! They did not try to accommodate me or my guest all that was said was sorry have a good night ! I have been very upset about the situation as I had to then find another spot that would kindly accommodate 20 some people ! To me and the rest of my guest that night this place was a bad experience , and me nor the rest of the party want to go back ! Maybe if we were offered some thing for the inconvenience would be a different story !

This is our go to restaurant in town. Great food, fun atmosphere, service is speedy and the staff are excellent! We have come with family for special occasions, office lunches, Friday meet up with friends and dates! Varied menu from a steak sandwich to a thai rice bowl meal...and don't forget to try their memorable dessert doughnuts!

This is my first time here and absolutely loved it. Prices are amazing , foods top shelf and great service!! I'll be making the drive from RD just to eat here !!! :)

The patio was great, the server was on the ball and the everyone was having a good time! We had an amazing dinner, and can't wait to go back! Thank you.

SO AMAZING!!! I would take the time to come to olds just to eat here!! The ladies were all so nice and welcoming. The food was to die for!!! I had a virgin caeser with beef jerky (soo good), shared the mac and cheese bites, and a half order of fettuccine with mushrooms!!! Oh my gawd!!! The mac and cheese bites were perfect!! Nice a crunchy outside oooey gooey cheesy inside... mmmmm.... The fettuccine was the best!!!! The house made sauce was fantastic and the noodles were cooked perfectly!!!! My boyfriend had the chicken club and fries and he really enjoyed it as well!!! Will definately be coming back!!!!!

Food was excellent and service was excellent. The young fellow that greeted us when we came in was very nice and was smiling and had a great sense of humour. We joked around a bit with the server also and she was great. Would recommend Grouchy Daddy's to everyone.

Food and service was amazing! They brought out a coloring book for our young daughter which was my little pony so a hit for sure! And they offered a kid sized fettuccine Alfredo pasta which it's hard to please a young kid but she ate and loved it! And the steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster bechamel sauce was incredible!

Food and service is always great! Love how they also give back to the community with their “Burger of the Month” �

First time we stopped there today, we sat on the patio and had fast friendly service, meals came out fast as well and were so good we will be back for sure to try other menu items

Best gluten free food you will ever eat!!

After experiencing prime rib at a buffet in Las Vegas; lets just say the cow died in vain; the steak sandwich at Grouchy's was amazing. Nothing like Alberta beef prepared properly. The service was excellent. Staff was very friendly. On a side note, I didn't really care for the Olds College Saazquatch brew, but the Hay City was very good. Its a matter of taste. The restaurant and the brewery have a bright future.

Our company Christmas party was hosted here this year, we were set in the Rusty Key for a private setting. We were served prime rib, cut and served by Alex, which was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth good! The roasted potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The Mrs chocolate cake was the perfect ending. The staff were kind, attentive, and didn't make us feel rushed to leave when the meal was over. The setting was perfect, great ambiance and decor.

4 stars as I've had great service in the past. Food is delicious, good prices, great drinks. We will come back for sure, but tonight we had issues with our waitress. We were never given menus or cutlery/napkins. Weren't offered refills on drinks, or asked if our meal was okay. My baby was getting fussy and we were asked if we wanted our bill and were ready to go while my sister was still eating and had half her plate left. I completely understand it was busy, but a lot of the time our server was just standing at the back. I would still recommend anyone to go here and we will be back as it's not the restaurant as a whole that was poor, just our waitress in particular unfortunately.

The food was pretty decent, what turned me off was I found a cooked chicken wing in my small cup of potato soup, the first (and only) time I have been there.

Stopped in on the way home from the lake for lunch, was going to hit Boston Pizza but Google recommended this as a local option so we gave it a try.



Not quite sure what it is, pub? restaurant? bar? all of the above?



Sat at the bar and it was ok, kind of small but comfortable.



Service was very prompt and efficient with multiple people asking if i had been helped ( almost a bit much but better than the opposite of being ignored).
