Wow! What a great experience! I LOVED my server derrick, he was charming, observant, and not to mention quite a good looker! The food was nothing short of amazing! Definitely will be back for more :) I would not get barbecue anywhere else! 11/10 would recommend!

We were there for my son's bday and it was his idea to try this restaurant out and we were not disappointed. Our server was Eric and he was the Best! Explained the meal in details gave some recommendations which we took him up on. The food as excellent came quick and just the right amount. We over did it on the appetizers but were able to take some home. We will definitely be back and we hope to see Eric again. Keep up the great work you all do there.

We had the Summer BBQ for 3 special and it was phenomenal! Great tastes and a lot of food. We left stuffed! The service was excellent and we very much enjoyed the whole experience. We will be back!!

Was just looking for somewhere to eat before going to the airport and decided to try this--so glad I did! The food was delicious, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in Calgary.

The presentation was delightful, the staff was friendly, prices were very reasonable, but most importantly the food was absolutely incredible. Live in Red Deer but will make sure to stop by again in the near future.

Our group got the meal for 10. The food was wonderful. There was almost too much of it to fit on the table. The leftovers I ate the next day were still delicious. Would eat there again.

My group went here Sunday evening for the dinner special and it was amazing. We've been to other BBQ places in town that were really terrible so we were skeptical. Made a reso on open table and had no issues when we arrived. The food was fresh, the cook plate was hot and the staff was very attentive.

We will definitely be coming back and telling our friends.

Me and my friend had the Happy hour lunch set menu. Lot's of food and very filling. Our server Yuki was awesome too! Will definitely be coming back again and in.

Server was professional and checked our table regularly to make sure we are happy. I loved everything we ordered that day, and the best was dessert. So good i will come back again!

Happy hour dinner set was amazing !! Everything was so delicious .. we can definitely eat this all day long :) the service was amazing ... so fast and so polite ! Super friendly people showing newbies like us how to cook and such

Been here twice now, and the food quality has been fantastic both times; really brings home the authentic taste of the 牛角 franchise from Japan. Prices are reasonable, the portions are solid, and the staff is quite friendly. Highly recommend reserving a table during prime time, but it's even better after 9pm because two can dine for $50 (and lest we forget $15 pitchers of Sapporo).

Absolutely amazing! First time trying Japanese food. I’ve been wanting to go since they opened, and always think of it last minute - but needed a reservation. Finally made a reservation and went. Totally worth it! Great service, delicious food, and wonderful experience!

Food was so good and tasty. Servers are friendly and the service was fast too. We have a great time... 😊😘👍

I've always loved Gyu Kaku and have been a regular customer since it's opening. However my last experience there disappointed me. While my party and I were barbecuing the meat the fire on the table grew to the extent that it set off the fire alarm and the sprinkler.



We were not looking to get the meal for free because we did consume most of our order before the fire went off. However we asked the lady who gave us the bill afterwords to not include the orders of meat we weren't able due to consume due to the fire which was only 3 orders of meat.



The lady proceeded to say we have to pay for everything and even went to blame us for ruining other customers' experiences by causing the fire alarm to go off and what not. As if we intentionally wanted to create a fire on our table that got large enough to make us stand away from our table.
