Hearth Fireplace Depot

I have just recently used Hearth Fireplace to supply 2 fireplaces in our custom built home out of the City. They were very thorough and helpful from the initial planning and construction to the finished home. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your fireplace needs.

I agree their showroom won't dazzle you and the service might be less than you might expect at one of those expensive gallerie fireplace stores but isn't that what makes life interesting? I bought a name brand fireplace here at a very good price and found their staff to be friendly and helpful at all times. They met their commitments and were honest in their dealings. I could have paid a lot more at the other place but decided to give them a chance and am glad I did. They actually have a huge inventory of fireplaces and do a lot of commercial work too. You have to be a little patient, and back off a little - give them a chance. If you come at them with attitude, it probably isn't the right approach.

Great service and warranty service on their products. Excellent selection of fireplaces. I have bought 4 fireplaces from Hearth and would only recommend them to anyone looking.

Used to work in this company, here is a secret to get best service and value. Get a deal from Mike (Sales guy) and ask for Vitaly (Gas fitter) to install your fireplace. Mike is the guy to go to for a better deal and Vitaly is the most experienced and outgoing installer. Great family owned company with good people working there. We needed a fireplace to warm up a cold basement, but we didn't have a lot of money to spend. The salesman Mike, was very sympathetic and suggested that we possibly consider an electric fireplace as a more affordable alternative to gas. He showed us a few models from different manufacturers. I was very impressed by his professionalism and product knowledge. He suggested a brand called Dimplex that he believed to be a top of the line value for the money. I believe his words were, "best built and best backed". We decided on an Opti-Myst unit and it has performed terrifically for the last two winters. I am very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend them for your fireplace needs.

Rude sales rep., dirty and untidy showroom. I couldn't get to explain what I needed and wanted, I was constantly interrupted by the rep trying to push me into buying the fireplace I didn't want and talk me out of the one I wanted. And I'll skip many other details and red flags, such as the bunch of lies I was given by that rude guy (Warren I think was his name). Terrible experience. I walked out of the shop shaking my head, appalled by the bad service and attitude. Thank goodness I did, since I got a much better service elsewhere (and in a clean showroom).

Showroom is a mess, the owner is totally unorganized, the only goal is to get your credit card number. He will tell you all kinds of stories just to get your money. (Sorry for the mess, we are renovating sign has been there for past 15 years). If you do want to purchase something, stay away from Warren and Cliff, most rude and deceptive sales guys I had ever seen. Search for the bold guy named Mike, the only trustworthy sales person in that place.
