About Heartland Registered Kinder & Pygmy Goats
The Kinder is a cross between a Nubian doe and Pygmy buck. An seasonal, or year round breeder, the Kinder is a dual purpose milk and meat goat.
The rich and creamy Kinder milk has a 7% butterfat content with more milk solids than many other goat milks, yielding more soft and hard cheese, butter, ice cream, etc.
When a Kinder is dressed down, this goat renders 50-60% of it's total body weight in tender, delicious meat; goat meat is the leanest red meat in the world.
Smaller in size, this friendly goat is easier to handle, takes less room to house /pasture, and requires less hay /grain. The maximum height at the withers of a Kinder buck is 28" and they can weigh between 135-150 lbs. Kinder does can reach a maximum height of 26" and weigh between 115-125 lbs.
Kinder frequently have multiple births, often having 2-6 kids in one birth.
