One more week until #screamfest #screamfestyyc
Level-up your halloween party!
We're just 10 days away from from the first night of the LAST Screamfest!
ooor, all month? We're celebrating all month!
For the first (and last) time at Screamfest, it's time to put on your big boy undies and enter the ZOMBIE HOUSE! Enter a dark labyrinth filled with horrors you can only imagine. Listening to the screaming and moaning of the undead. See if you have what it takes to make it to the end!
* This house is for the faint of heart, you'll have to sign a waiver before entering!

Raise your hand if you've had your costume planned since last halloween! ✋✋ (Raise another if you've got a costume planned just for screamfest!)
Anyone else celebrating the chillier morning air this week?
45 days to the FINAL Screamfest! 😬😬
Took my 2 teenagers for the first time and they loved it. It was fun. Great costumes! Great make up and effects. Yes the lines were long but it is expected? Calgary doesn’t get a lot of haunted house attractions. 6 haunted houses in 3 hours, plus a couple of minutes walking, exploring and watching a magic show. We wore creepy clown face make up on so that made the experience even better. My advice...just have fun!!!
My first time going and I had so much fun. I recommend buying the speed pass for $45 because you avoid the long line ups (which are very long btw) and get $16 in "killer tokens" to use for games and such.
Kudos to all actors, really love the "in your face" type of scares. The artwork and lighting in the trailers was awesome and very dramatic. Line ups generally were ok but they just don't move fast enough.
I've been to screamfest in the past and it has been a great time- the reason for my 5 star review is that I purchased tickets for this years event and fell ill and was unable to go for the date purchased. Maureen at Screamfest was incredible in helping me out, exchanged my tickets for a day I could go and was very friendly and patient throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!
first time and enjoyed it a lot, totally worth it ! it's more exciting going into the houses alone than with company. it's all about the attitude and just having fun.
Wish there were more things that were different and miss the two inside houses but the escape rooms were cool. Also prefer the cop location with the outdoor stage, but I get the need for the change. Was still a great time. Bought the speed pass as we do every year to skip the lines, worth the extra money. Went with two friends who have never been and they seemed to love it.
Not scary in the slightest for me, so I tend to go with friends who scare easily, as that's the only way I can enjoy the houses. But its about the atmosphere and getting into the Halloween spirit. Lines are very long so recommend the VIP pass for front of line. I enjoy the live performances they put on. Those are my favorite thing about them.
We got the vip tickets so we didn't have lines and that was a plus because they were long. The houses aren't more than a trailer and kind of a waste of money for it. We won't be going again but it was worth it to go once just to say we did. The best things were inside and that was short enough. The staff were friendly and the music was awesome.
Was pretty good,t unfortunate that there was not a lot more people there for the actors to be able to hide in the crowd.
They also should have had places for people to sit.
It was slightly disappointing. Too much lighting in some places and pushing too many people through at once. Those stuck at the back of the group missed all the scares and fun. Watching the other people in line and the people in costumes scaring people was more entertaining than the haunted houses. Red Deer did a better job.
Paid $30 for general admission and it was such a waste! The event didn't seem to be organized very well. Haunted houses outside? Hated standing in line for over half an hour in the freezing cold was not my idea of fun. The houses were okay. Not very scary for me! Definitely not going to consider this again.
It really was underwhelming and really not scary. Was so not what I was expecting. The haunted houses weren't scary at all because there were too many ppl going in at once that you didn't have a chance to "recharge" the props and actors. Could have been so much better. Not worth the $50.
Had two 11 year old with us who thought it was fantastic although they weren't scared in the least - not a single jump from either of them. The houses from years ago, at the barracks, COP & the old brewery were way better & scarier. The whole thing seemed like it was geared towards 8-12 year olds.
Disappointing . This was my first time going. I felt like “ what did I pay 30$ to enter for?” Only a few games to play to choose from, and of course they cost extra and are super expensive. Same with the rides. The only thing included in your entry fee to the 6 haunted house which are tiny trailers with suuuuper long line ups outside waiting in the cold. Not much for entertainment but a DJ who wasn’t even playing scary music. Food was just standard burgers and fries etc. No food trucks. Not much for vendors either. We even went on adult only night, but would not recommend and would not go again. Not worth the $$. Charging the same prices as Stampede when Stampede has a million more things to offer!
Worst Halloween thing possible do for so many people in the house at once they're not even scared you see what's coming around the corner before it even happens before the actress can reset such a waste of money not even worth it
What a waste of money ! So overpriced for what u get . The locked room is absolute rubbish and u have to pay separately for those things . One thing I did enjoy was the fact we paid for speedpass tickets otherwise u would have to wait in a big queue to get in . Houses were way over packed so u knew what was coming up next . Never screamed once . Wouldn't go back again that's for sure !
We showed up, looked at the lines, and left. Lots of kids there, not really a place for adults. Haunted houses are super small trailers with giant line ups.
If you're 17 years old and under then it might be great for you. Not scary at all, top 40 pop music playing, lines were ridiculous, crowded inside the "haunted" houses (trailers), bought mini donuts;barely any in the bag and they were stale, sloppy set up. Super disappointed and will not return.
I must say I'm quite disappointed in screamfest this year which was my first year. I was suprised by 5 very tiny haunted houses that I laughed through each one, not as terrifying as you claim it to be. Second off....No cool food vendors just a cafeteria. Also the other mad houses and asylums cost extra tokens at a $1 a peice the carnival games I can understand, But for $100 evening those extra houses should have been included most definetly. I really hope next year u guys come back with a vengeance because this year not gonna lie it sucked. No scare factors, no age restrictions. The zed haunted house in red deer was better to be honest, and at a fraction of the cost. hoping next year is bigger and better.
