Hi Banff Alpine Centre Description
HI-Banff Alpine Centre is the largest hostel in Alberta with views of the majestic Canadian Rockies right outside the door. All of our guests get free local public transportation, free Wi-Fi and free luggage storage, plus the hostel has its own on-site restaurant and bar. Take advantage of one of our packages year-round — from rafting and adventure packages in the summer to ski and job seeker packages in the winter.
Shared and private rooms are available, spread across two buildings with two fully equipped kitchens available for your use. have stayed here more than once when visiting western Canada and the Canadian Rockies, and found it to be one of the best hostels in Canada. if i ever get the pleasure of returning to Banff, this is the place i would choose to stay in.

C’est pas trop cher, il y a toute les commodités. Les cuisines sont super bien organisée! J’ai adoré mon séjour là-bas! �
Stayed there for a week. Not only was the staff amazing, so was everyone who shared the room with me. The building, rooms, and bathroom were always clean. I would recommend this location to anyone I know.
The bartender was also pretty alright.
Some of the greatest moments in my life were possible thanks to The Banff HI. Love you guys xxx

Great staff, beautiful setup, clean, affordable, second visit and will return!!!
Great location, friendly staff (Jimmy is fantastic), comfortable room and free bus pass. It's a hostel not a hotel so you don't get a TV in your room, but who needs it with the fabulous scenery, great walks and lots to do around the area. Nice walk into town and then hop on the local bus to get home which drops you right outside the hostel. I would definitely go back!
Best staff out of any hostel I've ever stayed at. $4 lasagnes are a treat👌
An experience I'll never forget
Great hostel with really good facilities. Not 5 star on value for money alone - pretty expensive for a hostel - but I guess that is Banff. The door entry cards were a bit unreliable - but the nice folks on reception were able to fix that each time. Would definitely go back, and in fact is probably about the cheapest accommodation in Banff.
Beautiful mountainous scenery, great location. Great people.
Accommodation lovely and clean. Everyone friendly and helpful. Would come back.
Good for senior citizens- stayed there with 2 friends a couple months back. all of our bunk mates layed in bed all day and night (or at least every time we went in the room), so needless to say, we had frequent noise complaints (as we had a social life), then eventually kicked out of the (as we now call it) "Blacksheep Hostel" bahaha!
... worked out for the best, though! Found a much nicer, friendlier, better located, more inexpensive hostel that we loved and will be staying at again! :D
