About Hksa Uofc

The Hong Kong Students’ Association (HKSA) was established in 1993 and is open to all students and community members. The goal of HKSA is to promote cultural diversity and understanding both at the University and in the community.

Hksa Uofc Description

HKSA was established in 1993 to promote Hong Kong culture to the UofC student community as well as the Calgary community as a whole. With the help of our amazing sponsors, whose been providing discounts at various venues around Calgary to our members, HKSA has grew from less than 50 members to more than 300 members in the past 18 years.

Discounts are not the only thing that our members receive benefits being part of HKSA, great friendships can also be established especially for exchange students, international students and new immigrants. But please do not be mislead because HKSA accepts anyone with any ethnic and cultural backgrounds to be part of the HKSA family.

In the past few years, HKSA has also been providing volunteer experiences and employment opportunities to our members. We have worked with the Hong Kong and Canada Business Association (HKCBA), an international business association, to provide employment opportunities with the Hong Kong government. As with volunteer experiences, HKSA has been working with the Calgary Chinese Community Service Association (CCCSA), The Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre, Wing Kei Retirement Home, and HKCBA.
