Homesense

I was wondering why Home Sense has not updated their minimum wage pay rate to their employees yet as stipulated by the Alberta Government Labour wage guidlines effective October 1, 2017 to 13.60 per hour.

I was in store on Saturday 16th
when the first thing me and my husband saw were the blue suade sofa immediately we rushed and called an employee. She told us it was already sold . We rushed to the back saw another black sofa similar to the blue one told an employee immediately we are purchasing it . However, about 10 minutes later another employee tells us it's I think sold . We said it is not possible we just spoke to this employee and he already had told the front about us. The other employee went back and realized that the customers that bought the blue sofa wanted to return and buy the sofa we wanted to purchase but they came after we had already spoken to the employee regarding that sofa and all that was left is paying for it. In brief, we called the manager Cindy who was absolutely amazing and fair. She asked which customer was there first which was us and dealt with this matter with the other customers . Cindy was very fair and kind which I really appreciate she took matters very profesionally . All that was left is us waiting in line to pay for our sofas and the other customers hadn't spoken to anyone but instead went to straight to the line to return for their sofas and exchange

I personally like all HomeSense store. This store has good products but poor service. All employees except couple are very rude!! Stay away from this one! Go different homesense and u will enjou there but not here.

My 4-year-old son wanted the little wooden bike toy in the store. When we were trying to open the box to see what colour it was inside, a black girl (cashier?) walked to us and solemnly said "You can't open the box." I told her we wanted to pick a colour (the package was not sealed after all. You can open and close it easily without damaging anything.) She said: "They are all the same! You can't open the box!" Then she walked away.

So I took my little boy out - not handing her $100 after being treated rudely. However, my son wanted the bike and after visiting another store, he ran there again to have a look.

This time, out of curiosity, I took a look to see if what she said was true. Turned out the one she told us to pick was a PINK bike and another one was blue.

What a cold-faced liar.
