Homestead German Shepherds

We are a small kennel producing 1-3 litters a year of healthy, well balanced, DDR and Czech German Shepherds with great temperaments.

Our puppies begin their lives as house dogs. They are born and raised in the nursery off of our kitchen. From day one they are liberally handled. My team of “puppy handlers” take their jobs very seriously and by the time your puppy is ready to leave, they have been very well socialized. When age permits they are given lots of opportunity for outdoor play with their mother, the other dogs, the cats, my children and myself. This will make house breaking your puppy a much quicker process, as they have been fully in the routine for several weeks already.

Puppies are wormed for the first time at the age of 2 weeks and then every two weeks until 3 months. They are then done monthly until 6 months. After that I do all my dogs every 4 months.

Your puppy will receive his /her first 4-way shot at 3 weeks of age and then again at 6 weeks. He will also be micro chipped, have a full check up with our veterinarian and be registered (as a non-breeding dog) with the Canadian Kennel Club.
