About Homestead Hearth

Welcome to Homestead Hearth. Our small family farm is devoted to growing fresh farm produce including vegetables, fruit, eggs and meat. We are committed to finding low technology, sustainable agriculture methods that bring joy to the table.

Homestead Hearth Description

In 2014 we are continuing our small CSA (community supported agriculture) project. We will be planting our one acre garden at our small farm just North of Onoway. How does this work? You buy a garden share at the beginning of the season. We plant based on the number of families we have.
What do you get? A bin of fresh picked vegetables each week during the growing season and some to save in fall. (The season should last 12-14 weeks, mid June to mid September. )
What are we growing? Well, everything we can think of…Last year we had potatoes, carrots, lettuce, radishes, peas, beets, Swiss Chard, turnips, beans, pumpkin, zucchini, patti pan, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, dill and this year we will be planting even more!
Rates: Full Share (family of 4 or 5) $450
Half Share (family of 2-3) $270
Do you have to come out and work in the garden? No, but you are welcome to come out and help any time.
