Lots of fun times had with these students! Thinking about them back in their native Brazil!

All students and interns learned together on the ski hill. Most of them had never been skiing before.

A dream come true for some students. Many of our students from South America have never even seen snow before. Taking them skiing was a highlight of last semester.

Hello everyone! The Horizon School Division International Student Program is currently looking for a temporary home for a 16 year old Colombian girl whose host family had a holiday previously booked before her arrival. We would need a home from February 11 or 12 through to February 22. If you would be willing to take her into your home over this period, please contact me immediately. She currently attends W.R. Myers so a home in Taber or Barnwell is best.

Merry Christmas to all the wonderful people in our community who help support our International Student Program by hosting a student, coaching a student, or just sharing a friendly "hello". A special Merry Christmas to our international students. who will be spending their Christmas away from family this year and getting a taste of Canadian traditions! (Please note: we are still looking for one home for a female student arriving in January, to stay until June.).

Are you family that likes to do things together? Are you an "average" Canadian family? Do you show understanding towards others? Do you have an interest in other cultures? If you answered Yes to any of these, then hosting an international student might be an experience your family would enjoy! We are currently looking for homes for three high school girls. One is from Colombia, and two are from Brazil. All would attend the closest high school to their homestay family for the upcoming semester (January 26-June 30). Please call or contact if you would like more information on this opportunity.

The international students had a chance last week to view/participate in Remembrance Day Ceremonies throughout our school May we all remember those who have served our countries and around the world to help us to have the peace that we enjoy here.

Horizon School Division International Student Program is currently looking for a host family for a male intern from Korea from the end of January 2016-June 2016.
This intern would like to live with a family with no pets who attends church each week, has no pets, and is very sociable. He is 24 years old.
Interns attend your local school much like a teacher's assistant, volunteering and observing our classrooms. They are given opportunity to share their culture with the stud...ents through presentations and activities.
