Housing Secure Initiative

The Housing Secure Initiative is a program run by RockPointe Church that confronts the problem of housing insecurity in Calgary. The program provides rent support, life coaching, and community to families who are dealing with financial instability.

For almost 2 years now, RockPointe Church has been running a pilot program to confront the problem of housing insecurity in Calgary. This program is called the Housing Secure Initiative, and it provides rent support, life coaching, friendship and community to families who are dealing with financial instability.

We are thrilled to have 4 clients placed in the program, and are currently in the process of onboarding a 5th. Each family is housed in a safe and secure rental unit, matched with an advocate to support them throughout the program and provided with a life coach to help them set and meet their goals.

Each client has also benefitted from the community support offered by various people at RockPointe Church, from moving, budgeting, and career help, to spiritual care and friendship. We are seeing solid connections, empowered clients and great progress and we are beyond grateful for what God is doing!
