H&R Block

By far the worst experience I have ever had while doing taxes. It felt like I was paying a grade 6 student to do my taxes. My Representative kept inputing the wrong numbers into the boxes. The customer service was also awful 10/10 do not reccomend!

Strongly recommend against this business! Was given advice by preparer to file in a way that would have cost me a few thousand dollars more in owed taxes, mis-spelled my name on the tax forms, amongst very poor customer service. This lack of professionalism was upsetting and the staff was unapologetic to my situation. Called customer service multiple times to report my experience and they never returned my call to address.

1st time - they will cost u $$$ in the long run is correct - they even shared my information with a whole bunch of other humans including the real estate company that was upstairs and well they just did whatever they wanted ...it's ID theft ... this is what I'd do if I was u kind of thing ...

The fast food of accounting. Overpriced, incompetent, they made me a 5000$++ mistake in favor of gouvernement. You have to know than THEY ARE NOT ACCOUNTANTS. They just follow ther tax logicial mix with a lack of knowledge.

I have been getting my taxes done by H&R Block for 23 yrs. and I have never had a problem with my returns. Some of the workers are a little slow and the wait can be long but hey we all have to start somewhere.

Horrid, do not go. My husband and I got our tax return done in H and R block, this is the second year in a row that they have messed up our return in some way. This year they stated that my husband immigrated to Canada in 2015 instead of the actual date of 2014, we caught this in July of 2016 because our GST cheque weren’t being sent to us because we needed to provide a global income for my husband when there is none. So in July we go to this location, because our files have been stored here, to get this all sorted out, we met with a gentleman here and he said has sent all the information in and this should be all fixed in 4-6 weeks. So I wait till Oct 5th for the next GST cheque when I didn’t get it I went to rev cad and it is still giving me the same message, so he didn’t fix it nor did he tell me that there were problems. I figured this would be fully handled since you pay for them to help you with this stuff for the year. I’m done with H and R block.

Worst experience for the third time. This year I went there to do my taxes as it is the closet location and thought maybe the third time is the charm.. sure enough its even worse this year. I spent 4 hours of my time there, 1 hr waiting which is reasonable then 3 HOURS while the lady couldn't figure it out. I watched her enter receipt after receipt which she asked if she could keep so I said yes of course. I only had two t4 slips.. finally she finished and I had to wait even longer for the senior tax rep to review. You would think after all they must have done the taxes properly.. NOPE. Later that month I get two letters from CRA, one with extra money saying H&R screwed up. NOW I am getting calls from H&R saying they have none of my receipts from 2013/2014 tax year and that CRA is auditing my file. I am very organized and went through all the documents from them to double check as I remember them taking my receipts from me that day. No receipts to be found in my books. From seeing how poorly run that place is I don't doubt that they would loose my receipts or not know what to do with them. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! DONT EVER GO THERE!!! now I will end up owing over $2000 to CRA as I have no idea which receipts I submitted three years ago.
