Hudson'S Bay

Surprisingly different stuff then other Bay stores. A must must visit place if you are around.

Hit and miss. Decent selection for a department store. But the staff need to stay at their stations because more often than not, they are missing and no one can help me. When they do help, some of them can be so "blah" that I feel like a pest interrupting them from their day. Others are great and even give suggestions and freebies.

My wife LOVES the bay, so we're always stopping here and often dropping a few dollars.

The Pros:
- It's The Bay
- Sales: when they happen they're good.
- Selection: generally speaking it's very reasonable.

The Cons:
- Poorly organized: I get frustrated every time I shop in there for clothes.
- Staff: are very hit and miss. We've had at best uninterested staff right down to one who openly told us she didn't know where something was and didn't care.
- Cleanliness: Doesn't always look or feel as clean as it could / other locations do.

Overall if you know what you want / you just want to browse then hit The Bay. Need to get something done? ... maybe not your first choice.

I had a fabulous shopping experience with their Christmas in July sale. The staff I dealt with in purses was super sweet and kind, and viola in the perfume section was AMAZING omg any perfume purchases I'm going to see her. She was so patient and so nice to deal with, and she gave me a little tester of a perfume I'm thinking of buying just to make sure I like it. I got a Karl lagerfeld purse at an amazing price, and I got a huge new bath sheet for pretty much half price which feels like it's really amazing quality. I've always been a big fan of the bay and prefer it over Nordstrom or sears. It's my go to department store. The only downside I have to say of my shopping experience is when I went to purchase my towel, the chatty catty women in the homewards department all standing around chatting loudly and blocking the entire service desk made me really not wanna buy there, so I walked over to the furniture and checked out with a really nice man who worked there.
Word to the ladies, stop. That's not how you act at work.

Very rude, argumentative staff, untrained staff, complete waste of your time to shop there. Without getting into everything that has gone wrong, let me just say ... if others are talking about their bad service let that be your first big flag. They obviously need a new Store MGR that can implement training, knowledge and more importantly quality customer service. Until then, I go elsewhere. (Sadly had to give 1 star otherwise could not post)

I purchased some Le Creuset cookware. Expensive stuff, but I love it. Unfortunately, when I used one of my $200 casserole it cracked while in the oven leaving me a gigantic mess to clean up. I washed the pieces of it up and took it back to the Bay for a return or exchange. Well.... firstly the lady I dealt with accused me of dropping my cookware and insisted it was impossible for the item to have cracked in the oven. Secondly, she was rude and disrespectful. She gave me a gift card worth 1/3 of my original purchase price because they had a "blowout" in the last few weeks...... handed me the card and walked off. So rude. I will never be shopping at the Southcenter Bay again. Don't waste your time.

went in to try on a couple shirts, think i picked out 3 went to try them on and the chick rolled her eyes and was like "your going to make me take the pins out of three shirts". So not to inconvenience her i just tried one on and then left.
