Hudsons Canada'S Pub (Calgary Downtown)

Bartenders changed prices on me because they assumed I was not going to pay attention while it is so busy. I tried bringing it to their attention in a kind manner as I truly thought it was a mistake - but they pretended they hadn't been serving me and couldn't recall what I was referring to. Despite me having not moved from that spot at the wood and there only being three bartenders on staff - one of which was only cleaning. I still tipped them regardless of their less than desirable behavior towards me when I acknowledged it. I then emailed management via their website and received no response - even with a follow-up a week later. I'm not mad about the $5 increase - I'm unimpressed by the rude behavior and lack of desire to acknowledge a customer who is unhappy. I used to work at Hudsons and quit for a few reasons 8 months after I began. Shady workers was never an issue when I worked there - looks like it's headed downhill and upon speaking to many people about this, I found I'm certainly not the only one who has experienced this. Perhaps they should revisit their 'happiness provider' goals with their staff.

I was going to actually take a picture of how awesome my food looked, unfortunately I devoured it. I could have taken a picture of my perfectly cleaned plate. The waitress we had was perfect, she was funny and kept the entire table happy, even with running around like she was.

Food is great but not much variety. I find myself looking at the menu for longer than 10 minutes cuz I just don't want anything. What I order is good but it'd be nice if they switched it up every now and again. Good happy hour and best place to go to on Canada day.

This is my go to spot. It helps it's around the corner from my place but even then I would still choose it. The servers are always so friendly and give great service. The food is delicious and they do so many different little events for customers. I wouldn't go anywhere else

I've been in and out of here many times and it never disappoints. Food is great, drinks are fair priced and the service is spot on. If you're looking for a place to just hang and have a drink or be with the buds, never a bad choice here. Missing one star only because it's not overwhelmingly fantastic, but not bad by any means.

Was there Monday night and the place was busy. Get there early so you don't have to wait in line. Drinks are a great price and there is no cover. Win win.

They usually have good reservation service, however they put my group up on high tables making it extremely difficult to talk to people. They also had to move us to put in their cost check which was pretty rude. Service wasn't impressive, but it got the job done. Drinks were very well done, that was probably the best whiskey sour I've ever had!

Fantastic service on a playoff hockey night. Food was good and the drinks were as well.
