Humane Animal Rescue Team (Hart) Description
hart does not operate out of a facility, instead we rely on a network of "Foster Homes", who open their homes and hearts to a rescued animal until a loving and permanent home is found. Supplies such as leashes, collars, toys, dishes, food, treats, crates, and kennels are provided to our foster homes. We are very fortunate to have established partnerships with local veterinary clinics to provide medical attention at a reduced rate.
hart's multi-step adoption process is designed to ensure (as best as possible) that the correct match is being made for each hart dog. For that reason, the foster parent has the final say in approving an adoption as they know the requirements and the personality of their foster dog best. Please remember that we are all volunteers working toward the same goal of helping as many dogs in need as possible. We will do our best to move you through our process as quickly as we can!

Meet Eli! This hunk is a 1 year old cutie pie who came to us as a stray from one of our target communities. He’s been looking for a home for a couple of months now and we hope that August will be the month that he finds his forever!

Hi friends! Fig comin' at you on this beautiful #FriYAY! How was your week? Mine was so great.🤗
Tuesday: The Lady's brother left yesterday and today the lady tells me that we are having more company this weekend! What the heck!? I'm starting to like entertaining and all but a girl needs a couple days in between to get ready💁🏻♀️! Before they come I need to move my dog bed slightly, bring different stuffies to my bed, possibly steal a blanket from the sofa, take outside toys i...nside and more!! I really should also move the sofa cushions around too (the lady likes it when I do that hahaha 😂 (the lady does not like it haha 🤣)) but I doubt I will have time! I better go start making preparations! I hope these visitors bring me some treats...
Thursday: The visitors arrived and you know what? I know them! They have visited a couple times before and they are nice. The visiting lady gave me lots of dentastix (they are my fave) and I took them right from her hand no problem. It's nice not being so scared anymore! They said that they remember when all I would do is sit in the corner and looked scared and said that I have made so much progress!! The visiting lady came with me and the regular lady on a couple walks and it was fun! They all bbq'd and sat outside on the deck lots and I joined them. It was fun!
Don't forget that I am still up for adoption...I don't really seem to have anyone interested in me😔. The lady tells me to try to be patient and that the right family for me will come along soon (I made sure to include another pic from my photoshoot here just so you all can see how pretty I am!) but I sure would love to meet them before the summer is over! hart is genuinely a wonderful animal rescue. We've been fostering since October 2016 and have felt nothing but supported by this organization. I believe 100% in their mission and am happy to keep fostering dogs for as long as they need �
Wonderful rescue group. Everyone is super nice and welcoming at events and they really take the time to answer your questions. You can tell they really care about their animals and put a lot of effort into finding the right homes for them.
We recently adopted Q into our family and we could not not imagine life without him already. The harts team was great to work with, and Q's foster parents were the best.
We just adopted Brian from Hart. He's a perfect angel! No messes in the house and he fit right in with our family. It's like he's been with us forever. We fall in love with him more and more everyday. Thank you Hart!!!!
We have fostered for numerous rescues over the years but HART is one of the most organized organization I ever came across. The volunteers are all very nice, very professional and compessionate. They truly make a difference! !!
We got our Atticus from this wonderful organization. They were amazing to deal with and do fantastic work. When the time comes that my hubby lets me have another you can bet I will be contacting these people again. Thank you so much for allowing is to adopt Atticus. I would take them all home if I could. Bless you HART for the work you do.
We adopted our amazing dog through Hart. They saved her from being put down out on the reserve after she was bitten in the head/face by another dog. Bailey's foster mom worked super hard to ensure she was a well behaved, social, and happy girl. She loves other dogs and especially loves people. Despite all that she has gone through she came out of it strong, smart, happy, and Spoiled. Thank you Hart for giving us this amazing addition to our family.
We adopted our "Ace" now Named Wolfgang from Harts! We couldn't be happier. Thank you harts for all you do!

As we went through the adoption process everyone was supportive and helpful, and it was very obvious how much they care for their dog's well being and want the best for them! I can't say enough about what a wonderful group this is!
My partner and I recently adopted Axel from hart. We feel so incredibly grateful everyday for the love and joy he brings us. I just wanted to take a moment and share a little about our experience adopting. From the beginning of the process, it was clear that hart cares deeply about all the dogs they rescue. We applied, had a phone interview, a visit with our pup at his fosters home, and a home visit. Every step of the way, hart was ensuring that this little pup was going to a place that would love and care for him for all of his days. Even though the process is lengthy, it mirrors how careful they are ensuring these animals will be happy and safe. If you are looking to add a furry friend to your home, please consider adopting. And please consider adopting from hart, they have lots of lovely dogs who need a good home. Finally, if you are unable to commit to a pup at this time, they are always in need of foster home (which is free!). Hart, thank you. And a special thank you to Kendall, who loved Axel to bits until he made his way to us.

We are so in love with him and thrilled we were able to find our newest furry family member. There adoptions team was very easy to work with and answered all of the questions we had and I have nothing but good things to say about the foster family! Thanks again HART !
Love this group of great souls. We got our beloved Uma from here when she was 10.5 months old. The due diligence that HART took in screening us and making sure Uma was a good fit for our family and the we were a good fit for her ultimately led to an amazing adoption experience. Uma has been in her forever home with us for 8 months now and it is amazing! We love her! �� Woof!
I've only been a volunteer for Hart for a short time. The work they put into these dogs, and the compassion and love.. An amazing organization to be a part of and to adopt from.
I think any rescue that saves lives is awesome. I support them all the way. There are so many unwanted animals out there that I salute any organization or individual who can save a life. Don't buy adopt. There are too many rescues waiting for a fur ever home.
I just wanted to let you know that I met one of your dogs that was recently adopted. Her name is now Smiley. I'm not sure if that was her original name. However, this dog looked so happy! And the little girl who was walking her was doing such a great job. I wanted you to know.
I am so grateful to the volunteers at hart. They are an amazing, selfless group of people. The newest addition to our fur family came from hart and she is an amazing dog! Thank you hart! Keep up the great work you do!
