About the Filmmaker:
In a body of work that includes more than 300 short films and documentaries, German
born producer, director and writer Rosie Dransfeld searches for 'the truth behind the
curtain'. Her films are powerful pieces of poetry on the human condition. In 2010 Broke
won the Donald Brittain Gemini Award for best social-political documentary. Recent
work includes Who Cares, a haunting feature film about street prostitution and a sequel to
Broke, entitled Anti-Social Limited, a powerful portrait of an ex-con who is trying to find
his place in this world.
