Leona Doig is a Registered Psychologist with experience in working with people of all ages who have encountered various mental health, family relationship, and systemic issues; providing counselling, consultation, and advocacy for clients in accessing appropriate supports and resources. She is skilled in providing treatment for a variety of clinical issues including anxiety and mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, family relationship, parent-teen problems, school /work problems, ADHD, life transitions, and stress.

Leona provides:
- Individual and family therapy, with a specialization in working with adults, adolescents, and immigrants
- Psycho-educational assessments for children and youth
- ADHD assessments for children, youth, and adults
- Consultation to schools and groups
- Community presentations on a variety of topics
- Mindfulness training
- Capacity assessments for youth transitioning into adulthood who may qualify for specialized supports such as guardianship and trusteeship

Her collaborative approach involves the use of empirically supported and evidence based therapies (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Therapy, and Solution - Focused Therapy), positive psychology, and the use of mindfulness meditation as an adjunct therapy.

Leona has enjoyed working for the past 22 years as a counsellor, the past 10 years as a psychologist. She credits her experience in non-profit and government agencies for invaluable training and experience. She began her work in a community based healthcare agency in Lethbridge, followed by non-profit counselling agencies in Calgary including Hull Child and Family Services and the Salvation Army, and most recently with Alberta Health Services. She has previously held professional registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers and with the Child and Youth Care Association of Alberta. She has worked as a Seminar Faculty Instructor with the Child and Youth Care Program at Lethbridge Community College.
