Inglewood Bird Sanctuary & Nature Centre

I love this place, when i come here often during the summer. I have notice that there seems to be far fewer birds here in recent years, i hope that trend doesn't continue.

We had our wedding ceremony at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary this weekend, on the lawn of the Walker House. The park and house made for a stunning, quiet, and simple setting. It was very affordable and the staff were amazing every step of the way! They made sure that every detail was perfect for us- thank you!!!

We went early Sunday morning for a walk on the trails. They had a few volunteer guides bird watching and shared information with us. It was a very quiet and lovely walk. It took about 45 minutes for a leisurely walk with an 8 year old. This is a great trail for a quick nature fix with kids. It was so nice. We decided to go the library and check out a few bird books and come back the next weekend.

There were a few groups of kids that were quite loud but you can't fault the facility. It is great to see a place like this in a big city. We spent nearly four hours doing a family walk and nature watch. Very nice facility.

It's wonderful to have a facility like this in the city. It did suffer quite a bit of damage during the 2013 flood. They've fixed most of it up but you can still see the damage.

They have a great interpretative centre.

Personally I like that no dogs are allowed in the sanctuary. It's nice to keep them and the wildlife apart.

The surprising thing about this place is that I don't find to many different species of birds here. Just the usual suspects. I definitely think there are better places for birders in Calgary. However it's still a great little place to visit for a family walk.

We went for a 6th birthday party and the staff were great! Beautiful location as well.

Love coming here. It's so peaceful. Good photo spot and lots of wildlife around.

Would be good if there was a snack /coffee bar and more indoor activities .
