In 1974, Intercontinental Truck Body Ltd. was formally established. The company's first Canadian plant, located in Coaldale, Alberta, was servicing all of Canada and the United States from a single locale. Primary business activities surrounded agriculture and the transportation markets at the time. With rapidly growing industrial development, it was critical to expand with additional manufacturing facilities closer to key markets – including offices in Edmonton and Calgary and a manufacturing plant in Surrey, British Columbia. Since then ITB has expanded into the United States under the name of TriVan Truck Body.

Constant product innovation has led to producing highly customized truck bodies, trailers and enclosures for the Energy Sector, Emergency Response, as well as Utilities, Municipal and Government fleets. This approach has enabled the group of companies to grow market presence across Canada and the United States.
