We regularly conduct small meetings with students from our holistic health teaching company in Calgary. For quite some time we've been using hotels by the airport. Then we discovered this hotel. Finishing up our first session here and have loved every piece of the International experience. Wonderfully spacious rooms, fantastic staff, and a perfect down town location. You are now our go to venue. :)

Very comfortable and clean, feels like home love the suites so much better than just a room , great housekeeping staff and the plus 15's you can go for lunch without going outside.

One of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever been in. And I’ve been around the word a lot. The suites are huge and when you ask for two beds, you actually get two bed rooms in your room. The spa is also very nice with very honest priced massages. Very well located in downtown Calgary.

I stay here every time I need a room. If you have a visa and proper ID there should be no problem. They were nice to me when I checked in, but maybe that's because I'm a returning guest and have stayed there for years. I always request a high floor facing the street and they always comply. I love this place.

Hands down the best hotel experience of my life!!!!! I'd give 100 stars if it would let me!

I was in town for one night to attend the Calgary Marathon and after a long day of volunteering at the expo on Sat I checked in about 8pm. The front desk staff were phenomenal and after seeing I was staying there alone said they were finding me a quite room. The room was huge & much more than I could have ever expected. I booked with Expedia and the pictures do not do it justice. I had asked about the included breakfast as I read it didn't start until 7am. The marathon events started early Sun morning so that was too late. They made me a bagged breakfast with bagel, cream cheese, fruit, and juice, and had it ready at the desk at 5am!!!! Completely unexpected and very appreciated!

I check out the pool, hot tub, and fitness room out of curiosity and they were great! Bit scary in the sub basement, but very bright. And open 24 hours!

The bed was extremely comfortable and had an evening tea tray beside! Coffee was great, complementary water bottles, and private balconies! Seriously amazing! I also saw there was in room spa services and massages but didn't take advantage of them (although I will next stay, and there WILL be a next time!)

The Sunday morning when I went to pickup the breakfast I inquired about late checkout and was told 1pm, I was expecting to be at the stampede grounds until then so declined but the staff asked when I needed it for. I honestly just wanted to shower and change before driving home but was not expecting or needing it. The amazing staff extended it until 2 and told me to call if I planned on being any later.

I honestly can't say thank you enough for making the stay so amazing! Your staff really went above and beyond and I will proudly tell everyone about my experience!

For a business hotel, it sure is well equipped. The breakfast is great, the pool/hot tub is open 24 hrs and the suites are quite well equipped. The staff are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and even laugh at my bad jokes. I've brought my whole family here several times and have never had any issue. I was warned about some renovations going on but nothing has interrupted our stay. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Calgary. I've stayed in several hundred hotels, from 0 stars in under developed countries to 4 and 5 star boutique hotels in Tokyo and New York and I've never been any happier with the value or comfort of any hotel.

Always a good stay. Clean contemporary hotel with very comfortable rooms and beds. If we have had too much to drink downtown we sometimes just stay here. Great place for a staycation and breakfast included.

We stayed at the International for three nights in July 2018 which was an excellent base for the Calgary Stampede where we did the 2 day thrill package!

We had an enormous suite in the 24th floor which we weren't expecting. It could have been a one bed apartment as it had a dining table and chairs, a kitchen area with fridge and microwave (the sink not functioning due to renovation), an enormous lounge area with settee and two armchairs and separate bedroom with king size bed and a separate bathroom. All very comfortable indeed. The balcony was a bonus with some excellent views,

The only downsides were:

1. Lift waiting time was an issue as one of the 3 lifts was being used as a builders lift.

2. Breakfast room in basement was packed on our first morning and very stuffy. There was a very limited choice of food. Restaurant staff could do with a uniform to make more professional.

3. The front desk/lobby was small and always appeared busy and crowded.

I guess all my negative comments were due to the refurbishment works being carried out during our stay.

Very nice, comfortable hotel. Great location and the staff were amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were good and the breakfast in the Global restaurant was nice. Would definitely recommend.

Just off an RV after a week, so a good size clean and comfortable suite was just what we needed and got.



Hotel is in the process of some renovations which I'm sure will help



We had food at the 4th Avenue bar which is attached good price and menu.Buffet breakfast in the hotel also good

Great hotel with brilliant staff. In a very handy downtown location, not far to walk to any decent downtown venue. Rooms are in need of renovation which they are progressively doing but they are clean and comfortable and big. Fridge, m/wave, kettle with tea/coffee making topped up everyday. Ours had 2 tv's, one in the bedroom and one in the living area.

We are from England but if we are ever in Calgary again would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing location, close to Stephens Ave, calgary tower, bow river. Rooms huge, beds so comfy and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Christian who gave amazing suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Would recommend and Def stay again.

I was on 18th (1802)floor....pretty quiet..could hear the elevators but not enuough to bother me



Room has table with 4 chairs...love seat and 2 single couch-like chairs...comfy king size bed...fridge..microwave....



Ice on that floor for drinks



Nice view from balcony...



Long mirror on wall for those who like to check themselves before goin out on the town...



Also has a nice little bar on main floor thats cozy and great for a night cap... or night starter bar!



Pool ,sauna ,and hottub is always a bonus!

CON (this was the only issue i had)

Key cards were shitty...and during 3 night stay other people walked in my room on 2 seperate occasions while we were in the room..... with the card key they were issued at front desk!!

Nice place , room keys were very finicky in elevator n to get in room , room 3405 was very loud all night as you could hear the elevators working from the mechanical room which must have been above , when we mentioned it the next day the one staff member knew exactly what we were talking about before I even finished , the other staff member just blew us off !

Only thing good about this hotel are the rooms big and comfortable but lobby are drab and cramped staff not very helpful food not very good as well me and other people do agree

This hotel looks absolutely NOTHING like the pictures. I don't know how they made the outside look nice in the pictures when from the outside, you could see stains running down the building. That wasn't even the worst part. When I got there, the stuff was INCREDIBLY rude, the lady at the front desk just had the worst attitude. Next, we get to the elevator and it was cramped and had a weird smell. I got an executive suite because of how impressed I was with the pictures. When we got inside however, there was still a smell, and the place was ridiculously old. The lighting sucked, and the balcony and windows were super dirty. The pictures looked nothing like the actual place, and it looked like they just covered the oldness of the hotel with mediocre furniture. I stepped outside to see how loud my friends and I were and even though they were talking just normally, I could hear them. The walls were literally PAPER THIN. How this hotel got over 4 stars is beyond me. I was so disgusted, that I checked out after about an hour of staying there, and I didn't get a single dime back even after all my complaints. They didn't even bother giving me my security deposit back. I would not recommend this place to anyone. What a catfish.

No sleep unhelpful staff not suitable for a vacation only suitable for business people the surrounding area is dead after 9pm the hotel is surrounded by tower office blocks ..The manager does not seem to be able to do his job he doesn't seem to have a clue what his staff are doing or he just don't care all travel agents take note DO NOT send your clients here

It's a dive..... old worn out rooms! Desperately needing a renovation.
