Iris

Been searching around for a place to help measure the PD of my fiancées eyes (first time shopping around since removing ourselves from on overpriced private doctor). Every other place we checked out were so condescending about the measurement and would not offer any solution other than 'well that's what you get for buying online'. Thanks, that's helpful. But the staff at IRIS and manager Kari were very helpful and will actually provide he measurement for a small fee. At least they had a solution!

Honestly if you want to waste your time go here..multiple times i was told to pick up my glasses or contacts..and they were not ready so i took transit there for nothing...sooo pissed. Never going there again and now i have to take another contact fitting somewhere else cause they couldnt figure out what contacts i needed in a year and a half.

First time in was great. No appointment, on a Sunday. Staff were very helpful and managed to get me in right away. Eye exam done and contact lenses ordered as they don't stock Acuvue Oasis apparently. They gave me a pair of different lenses to try until my followup exam. Received a call a few days later saying my lenses were in and I could pick up any time. This is where my frustration begins. I asked my wife to pick my lenses up for me. She goes in two weeks later and they tell her there are no lenses ordered for me. I call, and am told the same thing. I tell them they were the ones that called me, to tell me my lenses arrived. Not so apparently. "I'm not supposed to get lenses until my follow-up exam with the Doctor" is basically their response, and make it seem like I am fabricating the call I received from them. The Doctor is the person who told me he would order them for me in the first place. Back and forth we go, but in the end they deny every ordering me lenses. I ask them to give my prescription to my wife so I can order lenses myself. They provide merely the "power" with no additional information regarding my prescription. Now I am not able to order my own lenses as they do not have my full prescription (or won't give it out???...). Needless to say I will never visit this optometrist again. Could be a simple mistake on their end. Could be a simple remedy that needs someone else's intervention on their end, but they remain firm in their position. Seems like they hold my prescription information hostage so I have to go back, or pay someone else to examine my eyes. Terrible second experience!!!!

I highly recommend all to use the professional services of Dr. Quinlan Hunter and her staff at Iris. I was at ease during my entire process and educated in a professional and at time humourous manner.

The doctor was good but that's where it ends.
The staff were rude, didn't bill my insurance properly then wouldn't even speak with the insurance company on the phone even after it was confirmed I had said benefits and they messed up on their end. Not a single apology from them, they just shrugged and said I needed to pay out of pocket. I took my prescription and will be getting glasses elsewhere, don't waste your time.

I had a emergency eye visit with Doctor Hunter. She was able to diagnose the problem very quickly, and refer me to the hospital for immediate surgery. She most likely helped save my vision. That is 5 stars all day long!

For the first time since I was a teen, I had an optometrist that knew what he was doing. Having completely independent vision, I haven't had an optometrist that understood what I actually needed. They also were very helpful about finding options for me being on a very low budget. I appreciate all their work, kindness, and understanding.
