The Book Fair is open!! All my Edmonton followers this is the perfect time to have a look at hundreds of titles AND we donate a portion of sales to the MAC school.

We are so excited to be supplying Islamic books again this year for the MAC book fair! As always we will be donating a portion of the sales to the school, so this is the perfect time to stock up!

🌟 *RAMADAN FOR KIDS*
✨Make a plan together – set activities and goals with your children to make the most of Ramadan.
✨Commit to learn together- build bonds of love and affection by spending quality time learning together; both mom and dad.
... ✨Gather your resources – be prepared with engaging resources to maximize the benefit.
✨Make your children the center of attention – they will love the learning time so make the learning enjoyable.
🍁 Ramadan for less than 7 year olds:
✨Make them be a part of iftar and sit on the table.
✨Make it a habit for them not to eat or drink anything , fifteen minutes before iftar.
✨Inculcate the habit of making dua for themselves and family 10 minutes before iftar.
✨Make them recite these tasbihaat at salah times
✨Make them learn the iftar supplications.
✨Fix a time during the day for the recitation of the Quran. Whatever their level may be , but do review with them.
✨Ensure that your child gives sadaqa ( charity) from his/ her hands.
*🍁Ramadan for 7 years and above:*
✨Make them offer the 5 time prayers with you.
✨ Make them join you for Sehr and iftar.
✨Whenever, the child is fasting, celebrate and make him /her feel special.
✨If the child has not reached the age where fasting is obligatory upon him, then inform them that the fast can be broken if they cannot handle the pressure. ( Incase the fast gets too difficult for them). They should not be scared of fasting.
✨Do not push children to fast for the entire month. Slowly and gradually initiate them into the habit.
✨Make sure they recite a portion of the Quran daily.
✨Get them in the habit of praying 10 min before iftar.
✨ If the children are not fasting , then make sure they do not eat anything an hour before iftar.
✨Ensure the children offer the fajr salah.
✨A great habit would be to stay awake till Ishraq; offer the prayers and sleep.
✨At the time of iftar , involve the children in setting up the table.
✨A great idea to gain hasanat would be to make the child serve the dates to all family members. Explain it to them how Allah swt will reward them for this act.
✨During the Qayam-e-Layl , make the kids be part of the worship for some time.
✨Make the children give charity from their own hand
