The three on the top are a chef knife set. All 80crv2 steel. With micarta handles. Sealed with metallic pearl clearcoat. From left to right is a chefs knife, filet/deboning knife and a pearing knife. On the bottom is a tracker lite pattern hunter. All 4 are a donation to the "Got your Six precision rifle competition", supporting first responders and veterans with PTSD. A cause very close to home for myself and family.

Viking war axe. 4140 body, 1084 edge. Hardwood handle seasoned and sealed with wax. 'Dominus Nox' is ready

Its Finally arrived! My new touchmark!

Yesterdays filler project while i wait on my touchmark to arrive. Viking style axe. 4140 exterior and a 1084 blade forge welded into the edge and beard. 4.5" beard. 1/2lb weight.

After a little cleaning to inspect for defects. The dimpling in the knives is pattern i wanted to try. Still skeptical on its looks.

Yesterdays spoils. Basic profiles getting ready for heat treat. No bevels yet because of the thin nature of the material. Top to bottom: deboning/filet knife, pearing knife, kiridashi, and two chefs knives.

The Tack Hanger. My lovely wifes mothers day gift. In honour of her fondness of latino sounding names this is 'Guadalupe'

Here at IVF were not just blades. We also do custom decorative pieces, as well as bring your art to life. This is the start of fitting up a tack hanger. OAL is 4 ft. Its all tacked into place. Then will be backwelded out. And finishe up front in silver solder then polished to a matte finish.

4" 80crv2 blade. 4.5" handle. Lanyard hole. Mosiac pins and two tone micarta scales. Tracker lite pattern. Its called 'Silence'.
All hand forged and made in house. This brutal unit is being put up for auction for a local charity.

80crv2 steel. 5.25" serrated blade. Homebrew micarta scales, hollow pined and a lanyard hole. Susan Scott 'Excruciator' is ready.

'Sanguinus Extremis' 4.5" 80crv2 blade. Clip point with false edge. Pink cotton micarta scale. 7/32 hollow pins.

So, question to you all, if you are, or know of a farrier. How likely are you to buy a resharpenable farriers knife? They last far longer than any commercially available blade. The cost per unit is expected to be in the $100 range.

Double sided farriers knife. Unlike commercial knives these can be re-sharpened without ruining the steel. 80crv2 8.25" oal.

Well, every attempt is a learning experience. I may not succeed every time, but every swing of the hammer is always better. This is what happens when muscle memory betrays you. Instead of setting my welds linearly, from all the cable ive been working i rotated the set and botched the initial weld. Off to the bucket of shame i guess. Try again tomorrow.
