About J. Hoshizaki Designs

J Hoshizaki Designs is an Edmonton based residential design firm, owned and operated by Jacqueline Hoshizaki. Jacqueline has been involved with the interior design industry for just over twenty years. With her experience and creativity, she has developed many great relationships with both her clients and their home builders.
Jacqueline first got her start in the industry working for a large home builder as an in-house designer. After five years, she then moved to Chicago and spent the next four years taking in all of Chicago's architectural history and lush landscapes. It was here that she really gained insight into the design work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Once Jacqueline returned to Edmonton, her design interest grew into developing themed children's bedrooms. This also inspired her to open up a storefront of the same nature. She began directing the products and designs she provided towards the concept of using reclaimed, recycled and reused materials. After launching J Hoshizaki Designs in early 2006, Jacqueline had the opportunity to work more directly with her clients on their custom homes. With a demand for green builds and more energy efficient housing, she has found a niche that allows her to stretch her creativity in new and interesting ways.
Outside of her design work, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family travelling. It is here that she discovers so much of her inspiration by experiencing different cultures and studying what different communities value. Jacqueline always enjoys a challenge and is constantly discovering new and innovative elements to incorporate into her projects.
