J'Adore Dance Description
Welcome to J'Adore Dance, Edmonton's premier Family Dance Studio. We are the first studio in Edmonton specializing in Dance Fitness for the whole family and Conceptual Dance programs for Children! If you're looking for a fun way to get healthy and learn how to move on the dance floor look no further. We'll inspire a love of dance in your child with our creative teaching practices.
With classes for all ages and abilities we pride ourselves on being inclusive no matter what your background or experience!

Thu, July 5... MILL CREEK FANTASY DANCE (a site-specific show)
Thursday, July 5 | 6:00 p.m. In Mill Creek Ravine, at the base of 96 St, west on 87 Ave. This is an outdoor event with limited accessibility and no shelter. In the event of inclement weather, this performance may be canceled. Contact us with questions about accessibility or cancellation. and with Japanese Butoh and improv dance. 'Sisters' is a site-specific, contemporary dance piece that tells the story of two sisters, Jodie and Jeannie Vandekerkhove, who revert back to their childhood and set out on an impossible task together. In collaboration with Author and Storyteller Bethany Ellis, they will capture the layered dynamics between siblings in both reflective and playful ways. Blending tap and contemporary dance, choreographer, and dancer Alexandra Clancy will wow audiences with her tap dance prowess. Erika Torok and Sean Arctera bring Hip Hop and Breakdance to the ravine with beats from DJ Rey Oprecio.
As a special treat, there will be delicious, gourmet donuts served up fresh on-site! Ohana Donuts on July 5. This is an outdoor event with limited accessibility and no shelter. j'adore is by far, my favorite dance studio on the south side. the instructors are super friendly and make the classes fun. My (then) 4 year old looked forward to class every week.
Wonderful age appropriate programs and the kindest instructors!
Where do I start! The amazing music, the fun dance routines and the endless amount of encouraging support from the instructors are incredible!!

The staff and teachers at J'Adore make me feel like I'm part of the family, and that's a rare thing to find :) All the classes I've tried (Contemporary, Bootcamp, PiYo and Dance fit) push my limits, while still being fun and lighthearted and that's why I come back again and again.
Such a fantastic studio! I discovered J'Adore while looking for a postpartum exercise class. As the mum of a colicky baby, having a space where I could go and have fun with my kiddo despite not getting much sleep was SO amazing. It's a judgement-free, supportive space for parents and babies/kids. We've done many of the programs now and we've enjoyed every single one. Watching kiddos gain confidence and skills while having fun is so rewarding, and the fact that they foster such a community-feel is a bonus for parents!

Jessica Griffin along with her Instructors/Staff have always made us feel like we are part of the family. It's my home away from home :)
My kids and I have been dancing at J'Adore for over 5 years. From dancing with them as babies, to Intellidance to now unparented and evening adult classes, J'Adore offers a wide variety of programs to suit parents with young children up to adults! The staff are always friendly and helpful, and Jessica is a superb instructor and owner, with an evident passion for dance and for early development, as well as a sense of community. J'Adore J'Adore Dance!
My daughter loved the summer camp. The instructors are very kind and it is nice to have a non competitive option for dance
My daughter LOVES jadore dance. The teachers are amazing and so friendly and understanding of the kids. My daughter is 4 and in Miss Jenna's tap dance class and she constantly talks about her teacher and the things she learns. I recommend this dance school to everyone I know.
My daughter LOVES her dance class with Jenna on Thursday. She is always so excited to go and is always showing me her dance moves at home. She is normally so shy but she has always been comfortable at J'Adore dance!
J’Adore has been a fantastic fit for our family. The quality of instruction is great but low key but even more impressive is how the team cares for their students and supports their confidence! They aren’t about the competition, glam costumes or makeup extras but really exemplify their name showcasing a love of dance!
J'Adore dance has given me nothing but joy through out the years. Whether it be melting my stress away after a hard days work, giving me energy and strength during my pregnancies, or seeing my daughters' huge smiles when they are in dance class, in the Ergo or on their own, thank you J'Adore! Keep up the good work.
I've been with J'Adore Dance since my first child was teeny tiny and dancing with me in my carrier. We've done family programming and 2 of my daughters birthday parties were held at the studio. They go out of their way to accommodate requests we've made. Their staff is courteous, and not just that, they make you feel like family. They are incredibly popular because of their varied programming so now my little lady is in Ballet/Jazz and will continue with J'Adore learning, growing, and having fun!
I love it and so do both my boys!!!!!!!
I am very happy with the instruction I recieve for my boys at J'adore. It is always a positive experience for them. Thank you for that!

I am a first time mom who has been struggling with a colicky baby and post partum depression...words cannot express how supportive, helpful, and understanding the staff at J'Adore Dance are. Even when my baby is screaming in the waiting room, no one gives me any 'looks,' in fact they offer to hold my baby and make sure I am okay. The environment is so positive and caring towards everyone that I feel comfortable and welcomed. The classes are always organized, exciting and safe...I wouldn't go anywhere else with my baby. I look forward to more classes wearing my baby and for myself as well. Thank you J'Adore! Keep up the great work!!

Can't imagine not having J'adore Dance and Wellness as apart of Edmonton. I have been attending classes since the birth of my first son and I think I have attended almost every variety of class available. The studio helped me get through some tough times and helped my children grow and develop. I am excited to see what new programs Jessica and the other amazingly talented staff will bring for the future. J'adore Dance and Wellness is a must in everyone's lives.
Both my girls are dancing with J'Adore. They started out doing the Intellidance programs and fell in love with "Ms Jessica". My youngest anxiously waited until she was 3 so she could dance with her teacher and not mommy! My eldest loves to sing, dance and perform and she is provided a safe, fun, and professional environment to do that - with no pressure to be the best - just to do her best! Thank you for the chance for my girls to explore themselves, their bodies and the art of dance.
Two years later and this above review is still so true. We are still taking classes and happy to be part of such an active healthy community.

A few years ago I started looking for a "fun" exercise dance class. I'd tried a number of different options throughout the city, but I hadn't found the right mix of exercise and dance. I'm not a dancer, so I didn't want something too traditional - something challenging, but not too difficult to pick up. Through the magic of Google I found J'Adore Dance, and it was the beginning of a wonderful long term relationship. I started with some adult classes, Salsa and Fit Hop, and my addiction started to grow. Soon I couldn't get enough - Pump and Groove, Dance Quickie... I love them all. I had my first child this past year, so I branched into Intellidance and Pump & Groove Mama. Both excellent, and I have pretty high expectations at this point!
I really can't say enough positive things about this place. The pride of ownership and the passion for dance really come through. It's a welcoming, friendly place to come - and I will continue to be a client as long as they are open! Every instructor and employee I've encountered at J'Adore has been excellent - Liesa, Athena, Celeste, of course Jessica (and everyone else that I'm forgetting!) - you all are truly amazing.
The generous make up class policy make it the perfect place for new moms (well, and everyone else too)- as it can be difficult to make every class; it's wonderful to be able to attend other classes to get your money's worth! Recently my instructor (and owner) broke her ankle and wasn't able to continue the session- understandably! To compensate - they brought in a replacement instructor, or offered a refund for the remainder of the classes, or passes to make up for rest of the session - every possible option was offered to us to remedy the situation. I couldn't ask for better customer service.

j'adore is by far, my favorite dance studio on the south side. the instructors are super friendly and make the classes fun. My (then) 4 year old looked forward to class every week.

The staff and teachers at J'Adore make me feel like I'm part of the family, and that's a rare thing to find :) All the classes I've tried (Contemporary, Bootcamp, PiYo and Dance fit) push my limits, while still being fun and lighthearted and that's why I come back again and again.
Such a fantastic studio! I discovered J'Adore while looking for a postpartum exercise class. As the mum of a colicky baby, having a space where I could go and have fun with my kiddo despite not getting much sleep was SO amazing. It's a judgement-free, supportive space for parents and babies/kids. We've done many of the programs now and we've enjoyed every single one. Watching kiddos gain confidence and skills while having fun is so rewarding, and the fact that they foster such a community-feel is a bonus for parents!

Not enough words to describe how wonderful and amazing J'adore Dance and Wellness is! Not only do my son and daughter take full year classes, I also enjoy 3-4 classes per week. Jessica Griffin along with her Instructors/Staff have always made us feel like we are part of the family. It's my home away from home :)
My kids and I have been dancing at J'Adore for over 5 years. From dancing with them as babies, to Intellidance to now unparented and evening adult classes, J'Adore offers a wide variety of programs to suit parents with young children up to adults! The staff are always friendly and helpful, and Jessica is a superb instructor and owner, with an evident passion for dance and for early development, as well as a sense of community. My daughter loved the summer camp. The instructors are very kind and it is nice to have a non competitive option for dance
My daughter LOVES jadore dance. The teachers are amazing and so friendly and understanding of the kids. My daughter is 4 and in Miss Jenna's tap dance class and she constantly talks about her teacher and the things she learns. I recommend this dance school to everyone I know.
My daughter LOVES her dance class with Jenna on Thursday. She is always so excited to go and is always showing me her dance moves at home. She is normally so shy but she has always been comfortable at J'Adore dance!
J’Adore has been a fantastic fit for our family. The quality of instruction is great but low key but even more impressive is how the team cares for their students and supports their confidence! They aren’t about the competition, glam costumes or makeup extras but really exemplify their name showcasing a love of dance!
J'Adore dance has given me nothing but joy through out the years. Whether it be melting my stress away after a hard days work, giving me energy and strength during my pregnancies, or seeing my daughters' huge smiles when they are in dance class, in the Ergo or on their own, thank you J'Adore! Keep up the good work.
I've been with J'Adore Dance since my first child was teeny tiny and dancing with me in my carrier. We've done family programming and 2 of my daughters birthday parties were held at the studio. They go out of their way to accommodate requests we've made. Their staff is courteous, and not just that, they make you feel like family. They are incredibly popular because of their varied programming so now my little lady is in Ballet/Jazz and will continue with J'Adore learning, growing, and having fun!

I am a first time mom who has been struggling with a colicky baby and post partum depression...words cannot express how supportive, helpful, and understanding the staff at J'Adore Dance are. Even when my baby is screaming in the waiting room, no one gives me any 'looks,' in fact they offer to hold my baby and make sure I am okay. The environment is so positive and caring towards everyone that I feel comfortable and welcomed. The classes are always organized, exciting and safe...I wouldn't go anywhere else with my baby. I look forward to more classes wearing my baby and for myself as well. Thank you J'Adore! Keep up the great work!!

Can't imagine not having J'adore Dance and Wellness as apart of Edmonton. I have been attending classes since the birth of my first son and I think I have attended almost every variety of class available. The studio helped me get through some tough times and helped my children grow and develop. I am excited to see what new programs Jessica and the other amazingly talented staff will bring for the future. J'adore Dance and Wellness is a must in everyone's lives.
Both my girls are dancing with J'Adore. They started out doing the Intellidance programs and fell in love with "Ms Jessica". My youngest anxiously waited until she was 3 so she could dance with her teacher and not mommy! My eldest loves to sing, dance and perform and she is provided a safe, fun, and professional environment to do that - with no pressure to be the best - just to do her best! Thank you for the chance for my girls to explore themselves, their bodies and the art of dance.
Two years later and this above review is still so true. We are still taking classes and happy to be part of such an active healthy community.

A few years ago I started looking for a "fun" exercise dance class. I'd tried a number of different options throughout the city, but I hadn't found the right mix of exercise and dance. I'm not a dancer, so I didn't want something too traditional - something challenging, but not too difficult to pick up. Through the magic of Google I found J'Adore Dance, and it was the beginning of a wonderful long term relationship. I started with some adult classes, Salsa and Fit Hop, and my addiction started to grow. Soon I couldn't get enough - Pump and Groove, Dance Quickie... I love them all. I had my first child this past year, so I branched into Intellidance and Pump & Groove Mama. Both excellent, and I have pretty high expectations at this point!
I really can't say enough positive things about this place. The pride of ownership and the passion for dance really come through. It's a welcoming, friendly place to come - and I will continue to be a client as long as they are open! Every instructor and employee I've encountered at J'Adore has been excellent - Liesa, Athena, Celeste, of course Jessica (and everyone else that I'm forgetting!) - you all are truly amazing.
The generous make up class policy make it the perfect place for new moms (well, and everyone else too)- as it can be difficult to make every class; it's wonderful to be able to attend other classes to get your money's worth! Recently my instructor (and owner) broke her ankle and wasn't able to continue the session- understandably! To compensate - they brought in a replacement instructor, or offered a refund for the remainder of the classes, or passes to make up for rest of the session - every possible option was offered to us to remedy the situation. I couldn't ask for better customer service.
