Loved the place. New favourite restaurant in Calgary. Food was awesome. Service was great. Good drinks. Liked the atmosphere. Loved the blues music. Owner came out to mingle and share drinks. Great stop for BBQ. The smokey BBQ brisket rivals world famous places in texas. Definitely recommend. Definitely coming back.

Looked like a good place to get BBQ. Food looked great when they placed it on our table. I ordered a BBQ chicken meal with baked beans and mash potatoes. I took a bite of the chicken and it was raw. I flipped it over and they only cooked it on one side and the bottom half was Raw. Clearly see it was cooked on the top half a raw on the bottom. Told the server and her response was that there's something wrong with their chicken and it happened a few times that day. Funny that they blamed it on the chicken and not the cook.Cooked me a new piece of chicken but I couldn't eat at that point. Had to still pay full price for both meals. Manager or who ever was in charge didn't even have the decency to come out and talk to me about the uncooked chicken. If you eat here check your food before you take a bite. Checked other reviews and not the first time this has happened.

We hired their Food Truck for our company event and we were very happy with their service. Delicious food and excellent attitudes. Ready to cater to your every need. Definitely recommend them. The coconut corn bread muffins, brisket sliders and coleslaw are the best!

This is not a review for the restaurant but for the food truck at the Cardel show and shine on Saturday. Clue #1 that we shouldn't have eaten here was that the cook had his pants way below his underwear and his shirt hiked up so I could see the whole lower half of his back while he was cooking. My Husband was given the wrong side and the cook placed the cornbread on the plate with his bare hands. Yuck but not a huge deal. Then they lost our ticket somehow and had to ask me for the remainder of our order again. No biggie I guess but while I was repeating my order again the guy who was taking orders and handling money etc, reached into the container of coleslaw with his bare hands and proceeded to make our other two sandwiches. With his bare hands! Which he hadn't washed! I'm no princess but I was so grossed out and we actually walked away and threw our food directly into the garbage bin and walked across the street to get something else. There was $39 completely wasted. Better than risking food poisoning I guess.

Hidden in the hood! Absolutely delicious & what a wonderful atmosphere. The BBQ is perfectly done, the meats are juicy & the portions are ample. My picky 7 yr old daughter even enjoyed it. Service was attentive & we highly recommend this little gem.

Absolutely delicious. Found this gem just casually searching the net for a BBQ restaurant and so very glad I did! The food is terrific and has a wonderful smoky flavour throughout every bite. The owner is extremely friendly, I have never felt so welcome at a business, you feel more like a friend then a customer! I will continue to give this place my business and highly recommend it to everyone!

Brought the family here on vacation and it was a wonderful find. Everyone from our under 2 to our teen to my wife and I loved it. Amazing brisket, pulled pork, and jerk chicken! Warm and friendly staff!

My girlfriend and I went to grab some eats on date night, she had eaten there before and loved it, the place is set up nice and the atmosphere is great, the servers were phenomenal!!

The problem was with the food, the gravy for my fries was nothing but liquid smoke, the bread same thing, the steak was rubbery and undercooked, my girls burger was over spiced to the point that she completely lost her appetite.

The saving grace is the servers, they bent over backwards to rectify this, the two ladies were fantastic and so good to deal with.

We will be giving them another shot just based on the service and how well they responded to the issues we had.

What an incredible dinner experience. It was recommended by a friend at work. I convinced some friends to drop in on our way down to the Dome for a concert. Very personable staff and a seriously cool ambiance. All of that simply added to the incredible food..... wow!! I consider myself a bit of a barbecue snob and was very impressed by the flavors. This little gem needs to be on your list of restaurants to try. I can't wait to go back.

We where not impressed they are not organized the brisket was like rubber over spiced and too much sauce spent over 60 bucks for stuff over spiced and burnt I had the burger my bun burned black the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a plastic bag gross , sure they gave us a free drink because of the long wait and I mean almost 2 hours seen the guys in the back using their bare hands to handle foods gross and that was when I stood up to pay my bill if I would of seen that earlier I would of left, thinking I will be also contacting the health board glasses they serve drinks in stored on the floor and it was discussing untidy behind the bar and from what I seen from the doorway to the kitchen not very clean. Waste of money for sure and over smoked food

Slow, and they tell you 20 minutes but mean 40. Wouldn't offer my pregnant wife a seat while we waited the extra 20 👎the jerk chicken was burned and given to us cold pulled pork was burned and cold The brisket was overcooked and rubbery, and instead of cooking the meat a in the sauce they just putt it on top. They put the coleslaw in the same to go container as the fries so now I have cold fries and warm slaw... .And can anyone tell me just how I the hell do you manage to burn gravy??

I had a bad experience. BUT the owner was very understanding and tried to make the best out of my experience.
Very impressed with the owners response to the problems with my order.

I would be willing to give them a second chance..

Terrible. Just terrible. I had really high hopes for this place after seeing the great reviews. Maybe we just ate there on an off night but we were so disappointed and definitely won't be back. We ordered several orders of brisket at $15 a pop and the meat was fatty, full of gristle and tough. So tough. About 3/4 of my meat was simply inedible. My wife hardly touched hers and my son said the meat was 'yucky' and wouldn't eat it. Maybe we just got all the bad meat because we were doing take out? Either way there was no excuse for that type of food. The fries were great, but were Costco cavindish fries. So we could've saved $60 and just went there. My daughter was the only one who enjoyed her meat and said that her slider was really good. It's just awful when you get take-out and it's just terrible because you have no recourse at all. But maybe they know that...

First off EAT HERE, you won't regret it. We randomly went in on a Thursday night craving some BBQ and were treated like family. We walked out of there well fed and actually felt that we made some new friends. We will definitely be back and I'd recommended to anyone to give this place a try. If you do, make sure you try the mac and cheese as well as the pulled pork. No matter where you are, this place is worth the drive.
