The Bank of Canada has increased the rate used to determine if you qualify for a mortgage from 5.14% to 5.34%.
This will make it harder for Canadians to qualify for a mortgage.
If your mortgage is renewing this year, reach out to me and we can help you get ready for your mortgage renewal, I usually recommend that only 6 months notice is required to prep for a renewal but this year with all the changes, I am recommending clients to start getting ready for a renewal 1 year in advance.
