I have never been one to dream of what I would wear at my wedding. I just knew that I wouldn't be happy with the wedding lehenga that looks like every other wedding lehenga. So after my boyfriend proposed to me I had to turn the thought "I don't want to look like everyone expects me to look" into a breathtaking piece I would wear. I started the search and came up with a couple of ideas but I couldn't find anyone to turn those ideas into my dream wedding dress and that's when Aman and I first talked. I was less than six months away from the wedding and here I was working with a designer over Skype. She was the perfect fit from our very first conversation. She understood my vision as if it were her own and we spent hours talking over the various details.



One of the most essential things to me was the colour of my lehenga. I decided to pick two challenging colours to combine which if combined incorrectly would make me look like an amber alert walking down the aisle. I also didn't give her a big budget. Aman took on the challenge and was as excited about it as I was. She guided me with a designer's eye all the time not forgetting my personal vision. Her dedication to her art is evident from the fact that she continued dying the silks for the lehenga till the colour was just right. Her integrity towards her work and her clients was evident from the fact that when the lehenga arrived from India the first time and didn't measure up to her standards, she had it remade a second time all of her own accord. Such integrity is an extremely rare find in today's world of fashion.



I am speechless when I try to describe how I felt when I opened my lehenga. Everything from the colours, fabrics, embroidery right down to the inner stitching of the dupatta was immaculate. I was blown away by the craftsmanship. Every detail had been considered individually and as a whole. The piece was an absolute joy to look at whether you were looking at a couple of inches or at the whole piece. My wedding pictures speak to the beauty and effortlessness of the piece themselves. I had never thought that my now husband would cry at our wedding but the first time he saw me he had tears in his eyes. I look back at my photos and I still have a hard time believing that is me. Aman brought out my inner bride with this piece.



People ask me- "so you got married in India and you had your lehenga made in Canada?" and I love saying "yes, and I would do it again!"

I have never been one to dream of what I would wear at my wedding. I just knew that I wouldn't be happy with the wedding lehenga that looks like every other wedding lehenga. So after my boyfriend proposed to me I had to turn the thought "I don't want to look like everyone expects me to look" into a breathtaking piece I would wear. I started the search and came up with a couple of ideas but I couldn't find anyone to turn those ideas into my dream wedding dress and that's when Aman and I first talked. I was less than six months away from the wedding and here I was working with a designer over Skype. She was the perfect fit from our very first conversation. She understood my vision as if it were her own and we spent hours talking over the various details.



One of the most essential things to me was the colour of my lehenga. I decided to pick two challenging colours to combine which if combined incorrectly would make me look like an amber alert walking down the aisle. I also didn't give her a big budget. Aman took on the challenge and was as excited about it as I was. She guided me with a designer's eye all the time not forgetting my personal vision. Her dedication to her art is evident from the fact that she continued dying the silks for the lehenga till the colour was just right. Her integrity towards her work and her clients was evident from the fact that when the lehenga arrived from India the first time and didn't measure up to her standards, she had it remade a second time all of her own accord. Such integrity is an extremely rare find in today's world of fashion.



I am speechless when I try to describe how I felt when I opened my lehenga. Everything from the colours, fabrics, embroidery right down to the inner stitching of the dupatta was immaculate. I was blown away by the craftsmanship. Every detail had been considered individually and as a whole. The piece was an absolute joy to look at whether you were looking at a couple of inches or at the whole piece. My wedding pictures speak to the beauty and effortlessness of the piece themselves. I had never thought that my now husband would cry at our wedding but the first time he saw me he had tears in his eyes. I look back at my photos and I still have a hard time believing that is me. Aman brought out my inner bride with this piece.



People ask me- "so you got married in India and you had your lehenga made in Canada?" and I love saying "yes, and I would do it again!"
