We went into Jim Bows to get our nephew a bow for Christmas and possibly get myself one . It had been over a decade since i last shot and always shot RH but after visiting the store Joey and Sampson did a great job helping us out. I found out my left eye is dominant and they set me up with a LH bow. By the end of the day we left with a bow for my wife, myself and our nephew. Great shop and service. We are looking forward to visiting again.

These guys are great, I can not say enough about the customer service experience at Jim-Bows. Buying your first bow can be an intimidating experience, these guys were patient and really took the time to explain the equipment and options available. I look forward to many return trips in the future!

The staff here are professional, they take their time to make sure you get the attention you need. Sometimes it's too busy for their complete attention, but they always do their best.

Ive had them tune my bow, attended seminars, and asked a ton of questions and they have been great. I recommend this shop to anyone- n00b to veteran.

No better shop out there. All the techs are super knowledgeable and it's well worth a visit. Do yourself a huge favor and forget about buying archery, optics and gear from big box stores - there's absolutely no comparison on service and technical knowledge.

Made the trip from red deer to get my wife a new bow. They were awesome. The staff set up four to five bows for her to shoot and pick wich one was best for her. Unreal service and awesome staff. Just picked up a new PSE drive x yesterday aft. Staff let me shoot for quite sometime to make sure it was what I wanted and would work for my longer draw length. Knowledgeable, friendly and funny staff made the experience a solid 10/10.

Incredibly impressed! Been to many others and none can hold a candlestick to these guys/gals. Polite, knowledgeable staff, very reasonable pricing. Can’t say enough good about this outfit. Worth the 3 hour drive to get here!

I went into Jim-Bow’s Archery with my husband, a seasoned shooter, not knowing anything about the sport. Peter set me up with a rental and gave me a lesson even though we hadn’t booked a spot. I was instantly hooked…. Or is it arrowed?

The next week we went in again and Joey took the time to set me up with a bow and give some pointers all amidst the steady traffic and demands of a Saturday.

Came here for a surprise birthday party and had the whole upstairs to ourselves! Jim was our instructor, gave clear instructions, super knowledgeable and accommodating, but a mediocre photographer (just kidding thanks for taking our group shot). I will definitely come back here and highly recommended this place!! Thank you! :)

I made the trip down from Red Deer to find myself a new bow sight. Having less knowledge on sliders than I’d like, I was hoping a knowledgeable staff member would be able to help out. After not being able to find such a person in the big box store north of the city, we came in to Jim Bows. I didn’t get the fellas name, but it was probably one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had in many years. I was a first time customer today, but I will definitely be returning. Thanks!

I love shooting at Jim Bows. The staff are beyond amazing. Always willing to give you tips, answer any questions, and cheer you on. Their customers are just as friendly and helpful. I love Jim Bows! From the moment I stepped foot in the range the staff were helpful and quick in getting me ready to for archery. They were incredibly knowledgeable in bow, arrow, accessory types, and were made me excited that I bought my entire archery equipment from them. Every time I go to Calgary, I always visit Jim Bows.

I first shot a bow about 30 years ago with an old friend of mine and his dad and brother that were all hunters. I decided to give it a try again this year and have a new found activity that I enjoy.



Just shooting target is challenging and relaxing. There is almost a Zen to it as you have to focus breathe and aim.



Jim Bow's has been more than helpful in getting you started, bits of advise and coaching on occasion. Very helpful with any issues or adjustments you may have. The clientele are like a big family and the regulars offer the same advise as the staff.



If you are interested in shooting I highly suggest Jim Bow's as your starting point.

I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. We went and got my daughter a compound bow and Sampson spent so much time with her, getting her set up (and spotted that she needed a left hand bow!), making her feel comfortable on the range, and encouraged her. Even going in to get stuff for my husband we're always treated really well. Keep up the great work!

I bought a new triax bow the team in Calgary are GREAT guy's awesome service and they know what they are doing.Thanks

Here is a company that gets its. After the club we were affiliated with decided that having a junior program did nothing to benefit the club and cancelled the program these guys (Jim & Joey) stepped up. From starting a junior program on short notice so the kids had a place to shoot to allowing the club to host the 2016 Alberta Provincial Target Championships so that the new Junior Program (Jim-bows Juniors) could raise funds the shop has been nothing short of fantastic. I can't imagine what it cost them in lost sales and lane fees over the weekend since hosting really meant the range was closed to the public for the weekend but their generosity truly is fantastic.

Hands down best customer service I have received! Went there for the first time last weekend to pick up my new ( and very first ) bow, everyone was very friendly and super helpful! They set my bow up for me and even gave me a lesson! We were helped by Jim and Peter, but everyone else also made sure we had been helped out, we will definitely be back! Thanks guys!!

We travelled from Red Deer to find a bow best suited for me since we no longer have any decent archery shops available to us in our area. We were so impressed at the incredible service! These guys were so helpful and truly cared about getting me fitted for the perfect bow for me. I ended up with the Eva Shockey and I couldn't be happier! Thanks so much! Can't wait to come back again! �

Best experience at Jim's, worst at the Calgary archery center. I shot for an hour at their shop (Calgary archery centere) just to make sure I was ready to commit to a purchase. I told them I wanted to buy a bow that day and was ready to get into the sport and just wanted them to give me some info on what a newbie should know. They clearly werent interested in making a sale cause in their words "just keep shooting with he rental, you'll figure it out all you need to know"



I went to jim's later that week, they hooked me up, gave me some pointers and I was set. They told me which eye was dominant for shooting, my draw length and brought a few bows out to test my draw strength to find something that challenged me to build strength to be a better shooter but still comfortable that i would want to continue. Jim has fun in house events they throw for their customer and encourages everyone to try even if you don't think you do well. I went to jim's later that week, they hooked me up, gave me some pointers and I was set. They told me which eye was dominant for shooting, my draw length and brought a few bows out to test my draw strength to find something that challenged me to build strength to be a better shooter but still comfortable that i would want to continue. Jim has fun in house events they throw for their customer and encourages everyone to try even if you don't think you do well. These guys treat you like they would their family,You can't ask for more when the staff enjoy doing what they are doing and you can feel the passion these guys have in the sport!

We went into Jim Bows to get our nephew a bow for Christmas and possibly get myself one . It had been over a decade since i last shot and always shot RH but after visiting the store Joey and Sampson did a great job helping us out. I found out my left eye is dominant and they set me up with a LH bow. By the end of the day we left with a bow for my wife, myself and our nephew. Great shop and service. We are looking forward to visiting again.

These guys are great, I can not say enough about the customer service experience at Jim-Bows. Buying your first bow can be an intimidating experience, these guys were patient and really took the time to explain the equipment and options available. I look forward to many return trips in the future!

The staff here are professional, they take their time to make sure you get the attention you need. Sometimes it's too busy for their complete attention, but they always do their best.

Ive had them tune my bow, attended seminars, and asked a ton of questions and they have been great. I recommend this shop to anyone- n00b to veteran.

No better shop out there. All the techs are super knowledgeable and it's well worth a visit. Do yourself a huge favor and forget about buying archery, optics and gear from big box stores - there's absolutely no comparison on service and technical knowledge.

Made the trip from red deer to get my wife a new bow. They were awesome. The staff set up four to five bows for her to shoot and pick wich one was best for her. Unreal service and awesome staff. Totally worth the trip. Way better selection, service , quality, knowledge than we have here in red deer from wolverine. Keep up the great work fella's

Just picked up a new PSE drive x yesterday aft. Staff let me shoot for quite sometime to make sure it was what I wanted and would work for my longer draw length. Knowledgeable, friendly and funny staff made the experience a solid 10/10.

Incredibly impressed! Been to many others and none can hold a candlestick to these guys/gals. Polite, knowledgeable staff, very reasonable pricing. Can’t say enough good about this outfit. Worth the 3 hour drive to get here!

I went into Jim-Bow’s Archery with my husband, a seasoned shooter, not knowing anything about the sport. Peter set me up with a rental and gave me a lesson even though we hadn’t booked a spot. I was instantly hooked…. Or is it arrowed?

The next week we went in again and Joey took the time to set me up with a bow and give some pointers all amidst the steady traffic and demands of a Saturday.



The guys at Jim-Bow’s treat you like family, they are excellent at their jobs and it is obvious they love what they do. Most importantly, they love passing on their knowledge to anyone willing to listen.

I originally wanted to book at the Archery Centre but they were fully booked so I ended up booking at Jim-Bows Archery, which I'm really glad we did!



Came here for a surprise birthday party and had the whole upstairs to ourselves! Jim was our instructor, gave clear instructions, super knowledgeable and accommodating, but a mediocre photographer (just kidding thanks for taking our group shot). I made the trip down from Red Deer to find myself a new bow sight. Having less knowledge on sliders than I’d like, I was hoping a knowledgeable staff member would be able to help out. After not being able to find such a person in the big box store north of the city, we came in to Jim Bows. I love shooting at Jim Bows. The staff are beyond amazing. Always willing to give you tips, answer any questions, and cheer you on. Their customers are just as friendly and helpful. I have been to other places and they don't even acknowledge you when you walk in the door. Hands down Jim-Bows is the best place to go.

I love Jim Bows! From the moment I stepped foot in the range the staff were helpful and quick in getting me ready to for archery. They were incredibly knowledgeable in bow, arrow, accessory types, and were made me excited that I bought my entire archery equipment from them. Every time I go to Calgary, I always visit Jim Bows.

I first shot a bow about 30 years ago with an old friend of mine and his dad and brother that were all hunters. I decided to give it a try again this year and have a new found activity that I enjoy.



Just shooting target is challenging and relaxing. There is almost a Zen to it as you have to focus breathe and aim.



Jim Bow's has been more than helpful in getting you started, bits of advise and coaching on occasion. Very helpful with any issues or adjustments you may have. The clientele are like a big family and the regulars offer the same advise as the staff.



If you are interested in shooting I highly suggest Jim Bow's as your starting point.

I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. We went and got my daughter a compound bow and Sampson spent so much time with her, getting her set up (and spotted that she needed a left hand bow!), making her feel comfortable on the range, and encouraged her. Even going in to get stuff for my husband we're always treated really well. Keep up the great work!

Here is a company that gets its. After the club we were affiliated with decided that having a junior program did nothing to benefit the club and cancelled the program these guys (Jim & Joey) stepped up. From starting a junior program on short notice so the kids had a place to shoot to allowing the club to host the 2016 Alberta Provincial Target Championships so that the new Junior Program (Jim-bows Juniors) could raise funds the shop has been nothing short of fantastic. I can't imagine what it cost them in lost sales and lane fees over the weekend since hosting really meant the range was closed to the public for the weekend but their generosity truly is fantastic.

Hands down best customer service I have received! Went there for the first time last weekend to pick up my new ( and very first ) bow, everyone was very friendly and super helpful! They set my bow up for me and even gave me a lesson! We were helped by Jim and Peter, but everyone else also made sure we had been helped out, we will definitely be back! Thanks guys!!
