Being from Montreal, I am not very accustomed to chain restaurants, and often do not enjoy my meals as the food is very bland. This was my 2nd time at this location and both times was very impressed. Service was great! Drinks were great! Food was delish! I am usually very hard to please, but Joey Barlow deserves 5 stars in my book. Will be back soon!

First time visit. Went on a busy night at peak time. Got a table relatively quickly and service was great all night especially considering how busy it was. Ordered the Sliders Royale for an appetizer. Tasted great, but the buns were cheap for the price, and they were burnt. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan for a main. It tasted reasonable, but the chicken was well over cooked. Dessert was excellent.

All and all good service, but food was subpar from my specific experience.

Pretty much the best Joey's in town. Great atmosphere, basically everyone has a good time. Consistently excellent service and great food. Good beers on tap. I prefer to know some beers before I get somewhere, so for anyone wondering, as of this writing I'm having Last Best IPA and Parallel 49 'wobbly pop' pale. Tool Shed, Okanagan Springs and Goose Island also on tap.

A friend and I went here for the first time the other night and were highly disappointed. We asked for no cilantro on our flatbread appetizer and we got: cilantro. The waitress did bring us a new one eventually but she still billed us for their mistake in the end.
My friend decided on a rotisserie chicken dish which I thought looked good but he immediately spit out his first bite because the staff doesn't string their peas. Needless to say, he did not eat those & his chicken ended up being tender but super bland.
I was a bit surprised because I had the ravioli with lobster and mine was definitely seasoned well. After the main meal, we opted out of dessert because my friend just wanted to leave. To top off his already pleasant mood - on the way out, a different waitress ran into him with a tray of drinks and didn't apologize.
All together: the restaurant was almost too loud to talk in, our waitress tried her best and the price was too high for the lack of quality control. We recommend going somewhere else as this was an experience we hope you won't have to relive.

We dropped in for a quick bite and drink, so we were only there for about 1 hour. We ordered some drinks off the happy hour (sonic gin and tonic and sangria) and then some appetizers from the menu. Our food was delicious, but our friends at the table didn't receive their fries for almost an hour. Service was okay; waitress was friendly, but she completely ignored us trying to flag her for a good 15-20 minutes to ask about the fries. Otherwise, everything was as expected.

Honestly, I'd rate this 100/5. This is perhaps the best Calgarian restaurant I have seen. The ambience @ night is so gorgeous, that my appetite grew so much. In addition, the food was very varying, and the flavours of India, Italy, China etc. all mixed into dishes was a really good combo. I highly recommend you come to this restaurant.
Hope you found this review helpful ! :)

JOEY Barlow is always fast, quick and convenient apart from the drive. It feels that within minutes upon arriving regardless of Monday - Sunday they can find you a spot to sit down and eat. I feel that the quick seating is much faster then waiting in west-hills for either Earls or Moxie's. They have a great menu with many choices, note this is a restaurant though. The food comes out amazing, hot and ready. I have never had a problem anytime I have gone there and I got 3-4 times a month. The restaurant is great if you want to bring family, friends, spouses, and co-workers. Lights are dim and music is playing loud enough to hear around you but not loud enough for people to hear you. I think overall experience is great! ~~ sorry I have no photos.~~

My daughter treated me to lunch here. I've never been to Joey before. I loved the Blue Cheese Sirloin. It tasted divine! And we both savoured their homemade ice cream. Our server Janice was both punctual and friendly. We loved her smiles and personality! Thank you for a lovely lunch!
