The middle of the week just got a whole lot better: Wine Down Wednesdays. Every bottle of wine. Half off. Every Wednesday. Oh did we mention it includes champagne 🍾.

Super, amazing, awesome dinner! Snuck in just in time for happy hour - had to have the Sushi Cones and a Super Sonic Gin & Tonic. Got tempted by the chef serving steak samples, so I had the New York Strip Loin for my main. So good - perfectly cooked and so tasty! And then, to finish up, had a sample of their made-in-restaurant vanilla ice cream. Haven't had better food or service anywhere else in a long time! Highly recommend - you won't regret spending your money here!

Service was great. Food was actually very very good. Excellent. And I say that because I ordered the "Protien Burger" thinking how good could a hamburger wrapped in a bunch of lettuce no bun taste? But I tried it. Unreal. could of eaten another. And the drinks on the patio in 24° weather. "Super Jack and Cokes with icebergs". Deadly

Joeys is probably my favorite place to grab a bite. Great food-never disappointed in that. Our servers are generally amazing,our last visit this past Friday was average. Food was great! Our first server was amazing the second one just made it seem like we were a "bother". She wasn't rude,but She was definitely not friendly either. It was a Friday night and we came for a late dinner and some drinks(8pm -1030) we weren't high maintenance but when she came around it would of been nice if she didn't seem like she hated her job. We all still loved our food and will be back but word of advice -don't make your customers feel like they're a burden. Regardless of your day/night/regular life .

I wanted to take my fiancee out for dinner as she passed her final nurses exam, 5 and half exam, brutal. Having been before and worked with Jordy the new GSM. We were met with smiles and we knew tonight would be great. Jordy escorted us to our table, while doing so told us about a great story. I guess the lunch hours there can be fairly busy. Great location, food and staff i could see it. I guess a couple of business men having lunch noticed an older couple eating. For whatever reason cause they rock, paid the elderly couples meals. i guess the story for the next while couple hours, i guess the PAY IT FORWARD leap froged on and on. I was so encourage at hear that Calgary citizens still are in the giving mode and taking care of its people. I love Calgary and this restaurant. Highly recommend it.

I loved it here.

I came in after a long drive from Winnipeg and a wedding and was totally spent. The atmosphere instand made me feel rejuvenated and the food was amazing the steak and sushi was perfect, wings fantastic and staff was so polite and on top of drinks that I legit couldn’t believe it.

Whenever I am in Calgary I will be sure to be back

I have yet to have a bad experience! I’ve had fantastic service, food and drinks every time.



This afternoon I sat for a wine at the bar, and the bartender Brittany was personable and made my visit to Calgary fantastic! And the manager on shift, Kayla I believe was enjoyable and present. I love the environment here and Highly recommend this place to anyone! Bravo! Will be back again soon! �

Great experience. The food was good and the service was very timely. Nikki was our server and she was attentive to our needs. The reason I took away a star was for two reasons. Sometimes it was hard to get the attention of a server and there was a salad attached to an order that was not delivered. Rather the kitchen sent fries. I would go back again to any of the locations.

Food was amazing but the service was a bit to slow. And also I didn't like the wings choices that they have ( hot and nothing else ) .... add more wings choices pls. Some people do not eat spicy food at all.

Came here on NYE. I was with friends and our server was prompt, polite and just an overall delight. I did have to wait a few minutes for my garlic toast, but it's ALWAYS so delicious, it was worth it. I also really enjoy the renovations. Not sure when those were completed.

Good atmosphere and friendly waitresses but one of our meals the chicken was completely BLOODY inside. Gross. They apologized and that was all. Not impressed with how the manager handled it.

Wow. The food was fine but the service was absolutely horrible. Having worked in the service industry for close to 12 years, I understand that restaurants /lounges get busy. However, after having sat down for at least 10 minutes and failing to be greeted, my sister had to get up and find us menus and complain to the hostesses. We saw our server maybe 3 times during the whole night, although she was very friendly when there. The woman who ran our food was probably one of the most rude people I have ever seen. We had no cutlery and when asked for some she acted as if inconvenienced and put our food down quite aggressively on the table. Some of our party had dined here previously, but for my husband and I this was our first and likely our last experience.

Went here last night for a group dinner with colleges from work about 9 of us from (ATB) the staff was beyond rude. The girls even sighed and rolled there eyes when we wanted to change tables too accomodate all our guests. Our food didn't even come all at once. Just an over all horrible experience. And problems won't want to go back anymore.

This was the worst service I've received in a long time. It took forever to get drinks and then when our food arrived, it was only half of our order. It took almost fifteen minutes for the rest of our dinner to come, which was obviously cold. How did these plates leave expo like this? Unacceptable. Our server was nice enough but completely disorganized. We were half finished our meal when she did the first quality check. We were on the patio for some time and were never offered another rounds of drinks. And no offer for a desert menu! All four of us are former servers. Three of us having worked at Earls. Maybe our expectations are higher than other customers, but our server was practically absent. Shape up Joey!

Terrible service, multiple forgotten items in order. Totally spaced out waitress that brought tepid tap water to the table. I have never had to actually ask for ice, with my warm tap water before. Chicken breast forgotten on kids meal. Protein burger brought to table with bun, this menu item is here for low carb or gluten free folks, so the least they could do is get it right. No low carb options offered for sides with protein burger, got a nice heap of fries with it instead that my wife could not eat. Thankfully because the chicken was forgotten from the kids meal they were happy to gobble up the fries. My wife left hungry. I had the yellowfin salad which was good, except for the tiny portion for an $18.50 price tag. Service was also slow in a not very busy restaurant, and now I know why. Overall price for meal was $56.18, without adding drinks. Overall rating is a 1 out of 5

It was my fav untill this moment.. this time I hated the service provided to us... we felt disrespect towards us... no sense of customer services... the server was on cloud 7 I suppose... his body language and the attitude ... oh my god..

I'll be blunt here. Table of 5 went to the Barlow Joeys location. I ordered my mother a Singapore Sling (with Vodka instead of Gin) they served us a horrendous concoction that I can only assume originated in the bowels of hell consisting of pineapple juice, vodka, and CLAMATO juice. Spoke to the bartender and got a "whoops" as a response. We were waiting on our last person to arrive and opted for an appetizer (which was quite tasty). (And now the shit show begins) We order our mains (2 steak frites, 2 chicken parm, and 1 spaghetti pomodoro), 4/5 meals arrived cold, 1 steak was undercooked. The manager Nicole stops by, I explain what's wrong, she takes the 4 plates away (yes there were 5 of us eating). Now, by the time the rest of the food comes back out, my grandmother has finished eating. So my grandmother sits there awkwardly as we all eat as fast as possible. We all finish, I ask for the bill and our waitress Shelby brings it to me (almost 20 min later). I see the bill (which I'm attempting to read as it's got a bunch of additions and subtractions on it, Shelby asks if I need the machine, I respond that I do... She hands me the machine and turns around and starts talking to another table. The machine times out while I'm reading the bill, she turns back and was like "it timed out, let me fix it", I tell her I have some questions about the bill, she turns and starts talking to the other table again. I ask her a question about the bill and then stand there staring at her while she talks to the other table until she turns and asks me "Oh, were you talking to Me?"... I paid the bill ( they'd taken care of our appetizer), and asked for the manager (Nicole) that I had been speaking to. Shelby goes off to find the managers card, Nicole comes back with a card for Jordan Summersgill. I tell her how dissatisfied with the experience was and she stands there looking shell shocked and tries to explain to me it was her bartenders first non-training shift (after said bartender was talking about her closing shift the night before and how it was her first solo closing shift... New bartenders don't solo close on Friday night's). I point out that and leave the establishment. I would classify this as one of the worst hospitality experiences I've had in Calgary, and with years of experience in the industry, I can unequivocally say, this is unacceptable.

I was with family to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday and must admit my absolute regret in selecting this restaurant for a milestone celebration.



Service was slow at best , multiple servers introducing themselves over and over stating they would be "taking over" adding delay to an insufferable wait time. The mixed drinks we were served were bland and last but not least the food was pure rubbish. I spent the better part of the following day quite ill from my dinner experience at Joey Barlow.



I am the customer that normally does not complain but simply does not return. This event however deserves an ample warning to fellow diners. The lounge is fine with many interesting patrons but save your dining dollars for any other establishment. A hot dog, a stick and an open campfire would have been a more satisfying alternative.
