Who am I?
Jolene Fennema - A creative type that avoided homework for art. The girl that said I would "never" quilt like my mother. A woman with a background in graphic design, an eye for colour and a passion for creating that continues to evolve.

ORNAMENTS:
The ornaments started in 2002 as "baby's 1st Christmas" with the birth of my first niece. Then; what do you get a brother's girlfriend. . . ? You put their beloved pet on a Christmas ball. They have become a hit throughout my network of family, friends and co-workers. Words can't express the emotional reactions I have received; it warms my heart.
STITCHING:
DENIM: Denim flaws meet vintage flare in my hand-made upcycled products. Although new materials are also used, each upcycled flaw adds character, an experience from it's journey. These denim delights have been designed to conquer the elements of camping, picnics and music festivals. . . a perfect addition for any couch or bed!
TRADITIONAL TWIST: I love colour and matching fabrics people often wouldn't choose to compliment each other. The contrast of colour, shapes, size and patterns with a hand-stitched binding that pops. Memory quilts like my Ornaments are some of my most meaningful projects.
