Wonderful, authentic, intimate family run restaurant. A gem in Calgary.

Wonderful hearty food, adorable decor, and a wonderful couple at the helm. You'd be remiss to walk by without stopping!

When I feel like eating something that feels and tastes like a solid home cooked meal. I have a large order of the chicken paprikash, thou it should be called chicken oh my gosh! Cause its delicious! Or the beef and feta on noodles with dill! Another amazing dish! The food tastes like grandma made it and it's always as good as the last time. I can't say enough good things about eating the food here.

The food is to die for...I'd sleep here if I could :) You will never leave this place hungry, the portions are HUGE, Jó étvágyat

My wife and I have been coming regularly for nine years. Jonas is an amazing restaurant and having traveled to Hungary twice I can assure everyone that the food at Jonas is as good as anything you can find in Budapest

Like home-made. In fact I think it was. You would have to go to Budapest to even come close.

I have never had Hungarian food before. It's my girlfriend and her husbands favorite place. I can see why. The food was phenomenal, you walk in and the smells hit you and it feels like home. I loved everything about Jonas'. I will be going back for sure.

I have been enjoying every aspect of Jonas' Hungarian Restaurant since 2002! The people who own and operate the restaurant are truly welcoming and treat you like family. The atmosphere, including the music is just what you would expect in a traditional Hungarian restaurant. The food is always amazing and too many times we leave here so full we can barely walk! For a brief moment you feel like you have been transported to Hungary... and for the extremely reasonable prices... you don't want to miss out on this local gem.

Every single item on the menu is delicious (and I think I've tried them all!). I particularly love the cabbage rolls, the feta noodles with beef, and the chicken liver dumpling soup! I love to have lunch at Jonas' every time I'm in Calgary!
