About Judy Clachrie Ot Consulting
I received my B. Sc. O. T. from University of Alberta, and worked for Alberta Health Services in children's rehabilitation and mental health for over 30 years. I recently opened my Occupational Therapy private practice to complement the home-based OT services available for parents.
I specialize in working with families and their school-aged children (6-12 years old) who have occupational performance issues related to developmental, learning or mental health concerns.
I provide assessment and solution-focused treatment in your home to help you consider the next small steps towards achieving your child's goals.
My Occupational Therapy coaching /consultative approach takes advantage of each family’s strengths and enables us to work together with other involved agencies.
Occupation-Based Practice provides a way to promote well-being through occupations meaningful to your family, while working on your priority goals for your child.
Some examples are:
- Embedding sensory strategies which promote self-regulation into your child’s self care activities, meal time or leisure time
-Helping parents use attachment-based strategies when interacting with their child in chores, play times or cooking
