Great place. Have furnitures of nice design that I love. I bought Shawn desk which is sharply designed.

**** DO NOT BUY from JYSK. I wish I could say it was the product we had a problem with but unfortunately it is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. My sister and I went to JYSK to buy my neice a bed. After finding one that we liked, the staff had told us they had one box in the back (deerfoot Meadows) and 4 boxes in the north JYSK. When I asked if they could deliver the 4 boxes to deerfoot Meadows as I live closer to that store they argued with me saying they do not do in-store transfers and I would be charged a 65 dollar delivery fee. At that moment I should have walked away with their lack of customer service but proceeded to the north end to pick up the rest of the boxes.
When we got home we proceeded sort through the boxes and found we we're missing the hardware and instructions. We had called the store back and of course the north JYSK had the hardware box and instructions. Once again I had to proceed all the way to the north to get the last of the stuff (I thought). The staff was absolutely horrible and not apologetic by any means. They did offer me a 30 dollar in-store credit. FINALLY, I leave thinking great I can put this together. I get home start opening the boxes up and following the instructions only to realize they have given me a double of one box and I am missing box 5/5. I get on the phone and call them back (now I'm really loosing my beans) and of course they tell me if they don't have the box at the NORTH end I will have to wait at least 3-4 weeks to get this box. At this point I called JYSK in RED DEER and they were absolutely amazing and willing to do a free delivery to my house for the Calgary store mix ups.

The customer service and lack of empathy is horrendous. The store is dirty, messy, and so very disorganized. I will say the warehouse manager in the deerfoot Meadows location was easier and friendlier to deal with then the NORTH but the staff in both locations need a course on how to provide DECENT service.

This is the worst jysk store I have been too with everything very disorganized and cluttered and not a very clean store either. I saw lots of merchandise on the floor that was for display purposes that was damaged which makes one think that if they buy the items, the same thing will happen to it when they get it home... especially furniture. A very cheap alternative to some other stores... but only if your willing to sacrifice quality. I won't be back.

we bought the Ruti storage bed from here and have had nothing but grief with receiving a missing part. We waited almost 3 weeks for one part. we were told that it would only take a week to receive the part to the store(north gate), since we were ordering it in. fast forward a week and we still had not received a call that our part was being delivered, we called and were told it would still be another week. fast forward and still no call, so we called again and were told still no part but we could either have someone pick it up from the other store (deer foot meadows), and pick the next day, or we could pick up from the other store today. we live in saddletowne we spent an hour in traffic to pick up the piece and an hour home, other store called in advance to let them know we were coming to pick up the part , what size and what part was needed. when we got there we were helped right away, they confirmed the part size and number with us. fast foreword to getting home and building the rest of the bed.. and they gave us a double instead of a queen at this point i was ready to take the bed back and get my money back, we called and explained what had happened, we talked to the deerfoot meadows store manger and she told us that the new part would be here Monday (week 3), they would give us the right part and we would be able to negotiate a % of money we would get back. we picked up the bed part Monday, an hour drive there and home, and received the new part and a whooping $20 back for our troubles, we didn't even get to negotiate the % back like we were told we would. not impressed with either store and would suggest shopping somewhere else. we paid almost $500 for this bed and it wasn't worth the hassle

It's JYSK, the wannabe IKEA. Some neat stuff, some cheap stuff and some stuff we need so we stop here from time to time, sheets are well priced, outdoor items are ok, some good quality, some not so much.
It's another retailer trying to meet a demand and doing a reasonable job of it.

There are good deals here but there are also a few overpriced items as well. Shop around and compare to other places before buying anything big.

Amazing staff.. helped my family get new lounge chairs and assisted in a financing plan. Amazing place.
