At K9 Misfits, we sometimes help committed clients work with their dogs, especially when they are struggling.

Today is a bittersweet day.
When you have worked a lifetime with rescue animals and are educated in behaviour and training, you have many moments that you or your team will never be able to convey. The animals become part of our lives.
Today a Hope Lives Here rescue dog named Al, went to a foster to continue his dream to live in a home.
... We always believed in Al and our hope was that he could enjoy a home and use the skills and responses we have worked hard to reinforce.
He left today with his new foster family. This once anxious,destructive boy can love others and trust that they will help him live a safe life.
Free from painful training and with people who will accept him and work with his quirky behaviours.
All the team at K9 Misfits love you Al and wish you the best.
You see Al, of us are Misfits. And that just makes us extra special.
As he was leaving, he stared at me out the back window of the truck as if to say “thank you for teaching me better ways to be me.”💜

Whaaat???

Bilinda was absolutely amazing with my fear reactive dogs. She freely answered all my questions, and when we went out to meet her and see if we would feel comfortable leaving our dogs with her the outcome was nothing short of amazing. I didn't use a leash on them at all, and they didn't bark at her or her dogs at all. In fact she had them sitting and getting pets almost instantaneously! Needless to say I will be booking their stay with her, and would certainly recommend her to anyone who wants the best most positive care for their dogs.
