This had got to my favourite sized cake. Two extended tiers in the middle with the perfect sized top tier to save for a later date. Not to mention one of my favourite buttercream texture as well - soft buttercream wood effect. 💖

2018 has almost gone - and has come to an ending way to fast. Where has this year gone!? I hope that everyone feels the same way I do about this crazy year. Lots of goals, lots of accomplishments. Lots of learning, some of which come the hard way... is anyone the same as me? .... it’s takes more then three times to do it right 😭😂😩 I wanted to post a couple of my favourite cakes from this year. This has to be in my top 5 guys. Simple, elegant, timeless but modern at the same time. Everything I love. I’m hoping I see more greenery in 2019- pops of colour and texture. This texture though 😍- and working with a killer team.

We had Darci do our wedding cake and cupcakes. The hand-painted tree on our cake was so pretty and the cupcakes were delicious! So many of our guests commented how yummy they were. It was nice to find someone who can make a moist cupcake that isn't bogged down with super heavy buttercream. She seems to know how to get it just right and make it look good too!
We fell in love with her cupcakes when Darci first presented at the Uncorked Festival a couple years ago. Then sampled her charcoal lemon cake at Blake's. We knew right away we needed to work with her. Meeting her was great and being able to work with a Bow Valley local like her, she knew how to be creative and laid back about the whole process. Our cakes were STUNNING and our guests were really impressed and came back for three-four slices when they got the chance. We are so happy and can't wait to work with her again. Thanks so much!!
The wedding cake that Darci made for my husband and I was simply amazing. I've never had such a tasty cake at a wedding; usually they are so dry, but our cake was moist with a perfect texture and flavor. It was also beautifully made and exactly what I had asked for.
All our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was, and there was not a single piece leftover at the end of the night. We highly recommend trying the lemon cake with berry compote! I wish I lived in Canmore so that I could have Darci make a cake for every occasion.
Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect!!!! The cake looked and tasted amazing! Thank you so much!
Ok The artistic style of my two tier cake was phenomenal and blew the bride and groom away. The taste was equally good and we had a gluten free top tier that was the best my wife has tasted. Very professional when speaking with and picking up the cake from the shop.
I contacted Darci extremely last minute to make my sons 1st birthday smash cake, after another place decided to bail out on me. At the time, I was crushed, all the planning, the time, and not to mention, again, it was last minute. All said and done, coming into contact with Darci was a blessing in disguise. Not only did she make an amazingly cute cake that surpassed my expectations, and tasted great. She was also beyond friendly, extremely accommodating to my needs/questions, and did I mention she did it last minute I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a 5 star experience and a 5 star cake. Thanks again Darci
Highly recommend Kake by Darci. She did our wedding cake in April. We live in Florida and married in Field, BC so all coordination was done via email. We would have loved to taste our wedding cake before but this wasn't an option living out of the country; however, looking back...tasting was not needed at all because it was delicious!! We shared with Darci what we had in mind and she made it happen. We stayed in BC after our wedding and ate as much left overs as we could!! We just wish we could have taken it back with us to Florida :).
Having Darci make our cake was the least stressful part of our wedding. After meeting her for our cake testing, we knew it was in good hands. She was extremely organized and accommodating to our needs. Her cakes are absolutely stunning!
Everything from the tasting to selecting flavors to enjoying our cake on our wedding day was wonderful. Darci was always ready and willing to answer any questions we had. The cake and cupcakes were all amazing, the overall flavors and decoration were through the roof. I would definitely recommend Kake to anyone looking for high quality cakes and cupcakes!
Darci was awesome to work with. She did our wedding cake and we loved it. We live 6 hours from canmore, so everything was done through emails. She was great to talk to. We took a leap of faith without seeing or tasting and she surpassed our expectations. We had a birch bark cake and our photographer even said it was the best one she ever seen .
Darci was amazing from start to finish. Communicative, creative, kind - I couldn't have asked for anyone better to make our wedding cake. Obviously it was stunningly gorgeous, but it was also the best cake I've EVER HAD, no exaggeration (lemon cake, honey soak, lavender buttercream, trust me, just go for it). Thank you Darci!! <33
Darci makes the wedding cake experience fun, easy and delicious right from the get go. She is friendly and helpful and absolutely executed exactly what I had been wanting in terms of my perfect cake. Not only was our cake gorgeous, several guests told me that it was the most delicious wedding cake they’d ever had. I would absolutely agree. Thanks Darci!
Darci made us perfect small birch tree cake for our February 2017 wedding. Sampling the different flavours at her shop on the weekend was super fun and we ended up getting something totally unexpected. Thank you Darci!
Darci killed it with our wedding cake- best cake I've ever had by far. My wife and I chose a destination wedding up in Canada and were fortunate enough to choose Kake for our wedding. Her shop was cool to visit and everything was perfect. She was really nice and I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you!
Darci is super friendly and helpful. She is a cake magician and super talented at what she does. We found an idea online and she worked with us to bring it to life. At the tasting she went above and beyond by offering us samples we haven't even considered which sold us on a cake flavour combination we would not have thought of. The cake was beautiful and elegant to look at and delicious and moist. The cake was definitely a centerpiece of the wedding and loved by all.
Darci is so talented and made the most DELICIOUS cake for our wedding in Canmore. She has so many fresh and unique flavours, and after looking at her work, we were 100% confident that she would make us our dream cake. You can't go wrong with Kake by Darci for any event!
Darci is positively amazing. She created my jaw-dropping and mouth-watering wedding cake. From the beginning to the end, she was personable, thorough, and imaginative. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, and Darci helped turn that idea into an actual detailed plan. Communicating with her was so easy - she was quick to reply, she was open to phone calls or emails, she made sure to explain her ideas in detail, and she was attentive to what I wanted. She even drew up a sketch for me to help me understand the vision! In the end, the cake blew everyone's mind. We received so many compliments on it. Plus it was absolutely delicious!
I would highly recommend Kake Canmore. Thank you Darci for an amazing experience!
Darci is an absolute gem! From the get go, she was very accommodating and easy to work with. I knew she was super talented (since I stalked her instagram and became obsessed with every cake pic she posted), but I was legitimately BLOWN away when I saw our wedding cake for the first time. It was just gorgeous and better than anything I could have imagined. And can we just talk about the taste?? We ordered the 'Bees Nees' and it was honestly a spa in my mouth....honey soaked lemon cake with lavender buttercream...umm, what?! DELISH! Thanks Darci!!
