Kal Tire

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I don't even know where to start but here is a list of things they screwed up for me.

1. Ordered rims through their web store for my truck. Apparently the rims were ordered by Kal Tire at the wrong size, 18 instead of 17", despite me clarifying that they were in fact 17 over their web chat. Also turns out that 17's aren't even available for this rim despite the website allowing me to buy them.

2. Told that my truck doesn't need hub centric rings and that those are for sports cars. I assumed that was true since these guys are the experts.

3. Towing the camper out of town when something feels off. Pull of the hubcaps and my lug bolts are backed out at least half way. The wheels were riding on the bolts because of the lack of hub centric rings.

4. Also, my new TPMS sensors weren't working.

5. Asked to have all of my lug bolts replaced since I assume they would have been put under abnormal stress and could be prone to failure.

6. Only one set of bolts was replaced because they "didn't think there was a problem with the others so we didn't order them".

7. New rims ordered and mounted.

8. TPMS sensors still not working. Turns out they are the wrong frequency for my truck. Too bad Mr. TPMS doesn't make manuals so you could know this sort of thing ahead of time. /s

9. Swapped winter tires with summer and had TPMS sensors replaced (won't know if they will work until next spring, but I will assume for know that they won't).

10. Lug bolts and hubcap bolts were not put back in my vehicle. Told to come to Kal Tire so they can see if their equipment fits the rims.

11. No. Once I get my summers put back on and my TPMS replaced, I will never again go to Kal Tire. Even if they offered me free f*****ng tires, I wouldn't go back.

I have been to this store about a dozen times and 100% of the time they have screwed something up. At this point, I am waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out screaming that I have been punked because it is impossible to screw up this much.

I've been bringing my vehicle to the folks at this location for a couple years now, and have always been super happy with the service they provide. Today's visit was no exception. Big thanks to Jesse, Tyler, Joel, and the crew in the back whose names I don't happen to know :)

I have received the best service you could ask for. They are more than accommodating, helpful and understanding. I won't go anywhere else for service for my vehicle!!

Awesome service. Thought I needed brake pads, turned out I didn't, and they were totally honest and pleasant about it. I have also had tires done multiple times here and they are always fantastic.

These folks treat you like family, been doing work with them for a few years now and trust I've come to trust them 100% with any recommendations for my vehicle.

I've been visiting this location for years for sake of being a convenient location. Unforunaltely they have hit their third strike for me. I came in for a simple oil change and tire rotation, and I left with a squeaky wheel. I came back asking them to fix the squeak in my front wheel. The front desk gave me a bit of an attitude when I said it was fault of their own, and they quoted me $2000 for new rear drum brakes and front control arm bushings, informing me the squeak is from worn down brakes. Went to my other trusted mechanic who found the source of the squeak in the front wheel from a bent piece of metal rubbing on the rotor, caused by clumsiness in the tire rotation just as I thought.
In the past, this location has helped me with flat tires, new battery and other simple work, but I will no longer be returning here from this last experience.

Helpful, but insanely over priced. Balancing alignment and a generic steel rim was over 350. Stupid expensive

Great crew, great team. This is why they handle ALL my tire and service needs. 6 sets of tires on 4 vehicles and a brand new boat!!!!

I have been to many Tire stores in the city and this is by far the best, I went to the wrong location and than this location had said they don't have the tire in stock, called to try to make it so I could still keep my exsisting appointment. One of the other associates who was already off the clock had looked around the shop and saw the display tire that I needed and had let me use that. It was an amazing experience and I'm so great ful! Amazing people.

Joel and his co-workers were very friendly, not pushy, and helped guide me to tires that best suited my vehicle and driving habits. They had them in stock and got me in the next day (January 7) to install, balance and align.

Retorqued just today (January 9) and that was quick and painless as well. All in all a great experience. Having football on TV on Saturday and popcorn and coffee available was a welcome bonus.
